Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a telephone conversation held talks with his Nigerien counterpart Hassoumi Massaoudou on the issues of mutual interests.
According to Ashura News, quoting the IRNA news agency.During the talks, Amirabdollahian said the new Iranian government is determined to strengthen relations with Africa, according to the Monday report of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Amirabdollahian went on to say that there are great capacities for fostering bilateral relations.
Also, holding a joint commission meeting will be an effective measure to enhance Iran-Niger ties, the foreign minister noted.
For his part, Massaoudou said his country appreciates good relations between the two countries after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
He further called for deepening of cooperation with Iran in all areas.
At the end, he called for holding joint economic commission meeting between the two countries in Niamey.
