The President said: "Today, when conditions are far more difficult than during the Sacred Defense era, we need the thinking and culture of the martyrs more than ever."
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, this morning (Monday), in a meeting of the members of the Rahian-e-Noor policy-making council, which was held simultaneously with the National Rahian-e-Noor Day, Masoud Pezshkian stated that keeping the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom alive and transforming it into behavior among the young generation is one of the essential needs of society and one of the most important responsibilities of the Rahian-e-Noor Headquarters and those involved in the Preservation of the Works and Propagation of the Values of the Sacred Defense, and added: Today, when the conditions are much more difficult than during the Sacred Defense era and the enemy has attacked our beliefs with all its means and is trying to distort people's belief in the system and the revolution by highlighting some shortcomings and shortcomings, we need the thinking and culture of martyrs more than ever.
The President stated that our martyrs did not have a material motive for their struggle, but rather, they sacrificed their wealth and lives for the sake of their people and country with strong faith and belief. He added: "This is how the enemy, despite all-round support and our lack of minimal facilities, was unable to seize even a single inch of Iranian soil. I believe that if the same culture is strengthened in society today, we will have no problem in the process of governing the country, and none of the enemies' threats will be effective."
Pezshkian continued, emphasizing the need to promote the moral and behavioral character of the martyrs among officials and society, and said: "Our martyrs never sought to impose their beliefs on the people by force or coercion, but rather they took steps on the path of reforming society with morality and practical behavior, because based on religious teachings, society cannot be governed by force or tyranny, and people's behavior cannot be changed by order."
The President described the magnificent and unique funeral of Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani as a result of the sincerity, honesty, and pragmatism of this high-ranking martyr, and his love and faith in the people, and added: Who forced that million-strong crowd to attend the funeral of Martyr Soleimani? Except that the people, based on their nature, were fascinated by his honesty in speech and behavior, chivalry, courage, and sincerity, and they organized that grand and exceptional funeral ceremony to bid farewell to his body.
pezshkian continued by considering the path and path of the martyrs as a model for officials to unravel the knots of the people's work and solve the country's problems, and said: Today, for all officials, it is a time to appreciate the blood of the martyrs, in the effort and competition to solve the country's problems, serve the people, and create satisfaction in society. We hope that with the help and care of God Almighty, we will be successful on this path and not be ashamed of the martyrs.
