According to Ashura News, citing Al-Manar, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem gave an explanation in his speech today, Monday, about the internal developments in Lebanon and the need for the government to make greater efforts to expel the Zionist regime from southern Lebanon and hold the regime to its commitments.

We have three priorities that we must focus on

Sheikh Naim Qassem said in this speech: We have three priorities that we must focus on. These priorities are important for the government and the nation, and everyone must strive to achieve them because they will bring stability, growth and development to Lebanon. The first priority should be to stop the Zionist regime’s aggression, withdraw from southern Lebanon, and release the prisoners.

The Zionist regime has violated the ceasefire 3,000 times

He continued: No ceasefire violations have been recorded in our name, while the Zionist regime has violated the ceasefire more than 3,000 times so far. Hezbollah has adhered to the ceasefire agreement between the Lebanese government and the Zionist regime, and we facilitated the army’s mission to deploy in the southern regions. The Lebanese government is responsible for pursuing the ceasefire agreement by putting pressure on the countries that guarantee it.

The government should make more efforts to implement the ceasefire

Sheikh Qassem stressed: The Lebanese government must make more efforts at all local, domestic and international levels to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. The position of the president and prime minister yesterday in condemning the Zionist regime’s aggression on southern Beirut was good, but we call on government officials to raise their voices and make more efforts.

The aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut was carried out with US support

The Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized: The Zionist regime’s aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut yesterday was carried out with US support. America has interests in Lebanon and must understand that these interests will not be realized except with stability in Lebanon. The Lebanese government must make America understand that Lebanon will not rise from its place without stopping the aggression, and America’s interests will not be realized in this way.

The Zionist regime seeks to dominate Lebanon

He noted: The resistance has adhered 100 percent to the ceasefire agreement, and I tell the government bodies that you must assume the responsibility of protecting the ceasefire. Some government officials promise foreign envoys to confine weapons in the hands of the government, while the Zionist side has not fulfilled its obligations. The Zionist regime seeks to dominate Lebanon and establish Zionist settlements on its soil and weaken Lebanon, and the United States is also seeking to achieve these goals.

We put the enemy in his place / Netanyahu is in a very difficult situation

Sheikh Naim Qassem continued: We stood in times of hardship and put the enemy in his place, and that is why he was forced to accept the ceasefire. We will never give up on our own power factor and the power of Lebanon and its army and government. Lebanon must be strong and will remain strong thanks to the threefold resistance, army and nation. Netanyahu is in a very difficult situation and is unable to achieve his goals, and we should not surrender to him anymore.

There will be no agreement without reconstruction

The Hezbollah Secretary General stated: The second priority should be the reconstruction of the areas destroyed by the enemy's aggression. The government has been very late in the reconstruction field, and it is our duty to warn about this. Our request to the government is to include reconstruction in its work program, formulate its reconstruction plan, and begin this process. The third priority is to build the country and the government, and the path to achieving this goal is clear. There will be no agreement without reconstruction, and refusing to reconstruct means discriminating between Lebanese citizens and obstructing the path of economy and development.

The resistance became a refuge for the homeless

He noted: So far, we have sheltered 50,755 people whose homes were completely destroyed in the Zionist regime's aggression, and we have also repaired the homes of 332,000 citizens, while these measures are the duty and responsibility of the government, but we have carried them out wholeheartedly. We support the efforts of the President and Prime Minister to stop the aggression of the occupying regime, rebuild and build the country and the state, and we will not listen to the seditionists.

Hezbollah and Amal Movement form coalition in municipal elections

In another part of his speech, Sheikh Qassem referred to the upcoming municipal and council elections in Lebanon and said: We have formed a coalition with the Amal Movement to manage the electoral campaign in order to move the current reality from crisis and disagreement to agreement. The first goal of the municipal and council elections is to serve the oppressed people and protect their interests, develop their areas of residence, eliminate their deprivation, and participate in improving their situation through existing facilities. We, as Hezbollah, believe that municipal elections are not for gaining position and position and personal exploitation, but rather an effort to fulfill responsibility and provide services. We must work hard to preserve the unity of the village and the city and protect the atmosphere of understanding, cohesion, cooperation, and brotherhood. I call on everyone to have a broad presence in the municipal elections because whoever wants to build his country must gather with his brothers and friends and cooperate with them for development and social action.

Condolences to the Iranian leadership, government and people over the Bandar Abbas incident

He also addressed the people of Gaza: Your legendary perseverance and resistance have prevented the enemy from achieving its goals, and this stability and perseverance are the prelude to victory.

In another part of his speech, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, while thanking the Supreme Leader and the government and people of Iran for their support for Lebanon and solidarity with the people of this country, offered condolences to the leadership, government and people of Iran over the loss of a number of Iranian citizens in the Bandar Abbas explosion.

Sheikh Naim Qassem also offered condolences to the Christians of the world over the passing of Pope Francis.
