According to Ashura News, citing Al Jazeera, Fox News reported that Mike Waltz, the US national security adviser, and his deputy have been dismissed from their positions on the orders of Donald Trump.

CBS had previously reported, citing informed sources, that these people would leave their posts.

The report states: It is possible that more names of those leaving their posts will be published. At the same time, the website "Politico" claimed that Donald Trump intends to choose Whittaker as his national security adviser instead of Waltz.

Informed sources also stated that Waltz failed to convey the US president's national security priorities during his interviews. He had hard-line views on Ukraine and Iran. CNN also reported that Waltz had lost most of his influence in the White House after publishing classified information on cyberspace.

The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials: Mike Waltz was sidelined during consultations on important decisions, especially the start of nuclear talks with Iran.

Politico previously reported, referring to the leak of classified information about the US attacks on Yemen, that serious discussions are underway about the future of Mike Waltz, Donald Trump's national security adviser. According to Politico, citing informed sources, the discussions are so serious that the option of Waltz's resignation is not far off.
