Tehran, Yerevan review ways to widen cooperation

Chairman of Iran-Armenia parliamentary friendship group Mehdi Farshadan and President of National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan have held talks on expansion of parliamentary relations between the two countries.


According to Ashura News, quoted by IRNA news agency, The talks were held in Armenia on Monday.

During the talks, Simonyan assured that the visit of the Iranian delegation to Yerevan and the continuation of parliamentary cooperation will help the expansion of Armenia-Iran relations in various fields.

For his part, Farshadan presented an invitation message from Iran's Majlis Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf to Simonyan to visit Iran.

Also, the two reviewed capacities of both parliaments for promotion of cultural, economic and political ties.

During their stay in Armenia, members of the Iranian delegation will meet with the host country's officials and visit cultural centers in the country.
