Araqchi: We should not allow any other party to ruin the relationship between Tehran and Baku

Referring to his visit to Baku, the Iranian Foreign Minister said: "I think this visit came at a very appropriate time to review the relations between the two countries. We should not allow any other party to ruin this relationship or push it in an undesirable direction."

According to Ashura News, quoted by ISNA, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said in a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku: I invite the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to make this visit.

He added: The most important agreement in this visit was to expand dialogues, consultations and diplomatic exchanges between the two countries in order to bring the relations between the two countries to a problem-free level and focus on expanding the relations between the two countries.

We are looking forward to hosting Aliyev and Bayramov in Tehran

Araghchi continued: We are looking forward to hosting Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Jeyhun Bayramov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, in Tehran.

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted: In this meeting, we discussed the latest developments in the region, including the aggression of the Zionist regime against the countries of the region, including Iran.

We agreed to hold trilateral meetings with other countries in the region

Iraqchi continued by stating that "in this meeting, we discussed developments in the Caucasus region and the 3+3 mechanism," and said: "We emphasized the necessity of achieving peace and stability in the region and the absence of any foreign interference in the Caucasus region, and we agreed to hold trilateral meetings with other countries in the region as well."

We are determined to expand relations with Azerbaijan in all dimensions.

Stating that "I think this is a good mechanism for expanding cooperation in the region," he noted: "We are determined to expand our relations with Azerbaijan in all dimensions and for these relations to expand as much as possible."

Iraqchi continued: "We should not allow any other party to ruin this relationship or push it in an undesirable direction."

At the suggestion of Azerbaijan, the 3+3 meeting is to be held in Baku and the next meeting in Yerevan

Following his press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran said in response to a question regarding Iran's view of the 3+3 mechanism: "We attach great importance to this mechanism, as Mr. Bayramov said, this mechanism is not only for the issue of Azerbaijan and Armenia, but also for achieving peace and stability in the entire region, and its goal is to establish political and economic cooperation and consultations between the countries of the region. In fact, our goal with this mechanism is to establish peace and stability in all the countries of the region, and we support and continue to support this mechanism."

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued: "We are happy that the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are currently on a good path, and we welcome the peace process between the two countries, and one of its effects is that at the suggestion of Azerbaijan, the 3+3 meeting is to be held in Baku and the next meeting in Yerevan."
