The United States has provided Israel with over $21.7 billion in military aid in the last two years alone since the Gaza war began, compared to about $4 billion annually in previous years.
According to Ashura News, a study conducted by the Costs of War Project at Brown University’s Watson Institute shows that the Joe Biden and Donald Trump administrations have signed agreements to sell tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons and related services, which will be paid for in the coming years. US-supplied weapons have played a major role in the Israeli military’s operations in Gaza, the West Bank and beyond. According to the study, most of the weapons used by the Zionist regime in Gaza and West Asia come from US-made weapons stocks. The study emphasizes that, given the current and future costs, Israeli forces would not have been able to inflict such extensive damage in Gaza or escalate military activities in the region without US financial, arms and political support.
According to this information, the total US spending in West Asia over the past two years is estimated to be between $31.35 and $33.77 billion, and it is still rising. The US has doubled its aid to Israel over the past two years, while the regime has killed thousands of Palestinians and injured and displaced many more. According to the latest statistics from the Gaza Health Ministry, as of early September 2025, a total of 67,075 people have been killed and 169,430 injured. The Costs of War Project announced that these 236,505 casualties represent more than 10 percent of Gaza’s pre-war population.
