Iran and Iraq reach understanding on developing joint Sindbad and Khorramshahr fields

The Minister of Oil announced the development of the joint Sindbad and Khorramshahr fields between Iraq and Iran, with an understanding between the two countries.

According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, regarding the latest status of 10 petroleum products and the ban on the import of similar products, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejd said: "There is no doubt that the import of products that are similar to domestic production is prohibited, and this decree is still in effect in the oil industry, and we adhere to this principle to support and back domestic production."

He added: "We support the promotion of domestic capabilities in the field of manufacturing, and we even provided facilities and facilities for first-time production, and we signed a memorandum of understanding worth about $200 million in relation to first-time production, and this is a very good foundation for domestic production."

The Minister of Oil also referred to the policies and approaches of the 14th government in developing relations with neighbors and regional countries in trade and economic interactions and said: "Exporting domestic products to neighboring countries is one of our priorities, and during my trip to Iraq, I discussed with the Minister of Oil and the Minister of Electricity of this country in the field of domestic production equipment, and good understandings were established in this regard."
