The head of the Trade Development Organization of Iran said: Iranian exporters must offer their goods to the final consumer at the destination without intermediaries and actually have a presence in shopping centers.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, in a meeting on the topic of explaining the measures taken after the signing of the free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union and the organization's goal to promote Iranian brands abroad, announced this news and added: "Our shopping centers must be such that Iranian exporters can offer their goods to the final consumer at the destination without intermediaries and actually have a presence in shopping centers."
He added: "The National Brand Commission has been transferred from the Ministry of Trade and Industry to the Trade Development Organization, because we have a plan for branding and we believe that our exporters must promote their brands so that we can have a stronger presence in our target market."
Dehghan Dehnavi said: "With these measures and controls that we will have, we hope to benefit the most from trade agreements with other countries."
The Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran continued to call the free trade agreement with Eurasia a great achievement for Iran and said: Through this, Iran has been connected to the market of five Eurasian countries that have a trade of about 850 to 900 billion dollars.
He pointed out: The principle of the agreement is definitely a good and appropriate tool that can remove some of the effects of sanctions and actually help us to remove some of the restrictions that have been created due to the cruel sanctions against the country in the form of free and preferential trade agreements.
The Director General of the Trade Development Organization added: Other countries are also present as observers in the regional union, but none of them have an agreement like ours, and this is due to the desire of the members of this union to work with Iran, so we must use this tool in the best way.
He stated: "The free trade agreement is full of opportunities for both parties, and a country that can make better use of its opportunities will benefit more. I believe that increasing imports is not necessarily a bad phenomenon if we can import from a good source at a reasonable price and good quality, but increasing exports has more advantages for the country."
Dehghan Dehnavi stated: "The agreement also provides for safeguard measures so that if the increase in imports of a product causes damage to the domestic production of a country, that country, upon informing the other party, will take protective measures against its domestic production."
He noted: "We are currently negotiating with more than 10 countries in the world to sign preferential trade or free trade agreements with them, some of these negotiations are in the final stage."
Deputy Minister Samat stated: If the sanctions are lifted, these agreements can help the country's economy more than before, because until 30 years ago, the main trend in global trade was membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO), while today regional unions are the main approach in trade between countries, especially due to the unilateralism of the United States, which withdrew from many agreements a few years ago.
Stating that unions have become the main trend in global trade, Dehghan Dehnavi added: We must try to define our role in cooperating with these unions or becoming permanent members of them.
