The commander of the Revolutionary Guards said: "A nation that is indestructible, invincible, impenetrable, indecent, and never defeated, such a nation raises the banner of authority and independence in the field of diplomacy."
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr reporter, Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated at the first international congress commemorating 3100 martyred aid workers held in Tehran: Today we commemorate the high status of the martyrs, whose independence and dignity, and the honor and greatness of Great Iran owe to the sacrifice and epics of those loved ones, which are unique and perhaps unrepeatable.
He continued to address the aid workers present at this international congress: You are the continuation of that generation of sacrifice who, during the difficult period of sacred defense, in those very terrible events, in those great dangers, and in the heart of minefields, helped the youth of this land.
The Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated: We saw you aid workers in the FAU, when, in the harsh battles of the Baath Army, that generation, full of emotion, feeling, faith, deep belief, and with the spirit of chivalry and zeal of Abolfazl, rushed to the aid of brothers who were injured or martyred; We saw you in the battles of Operation Ramadan when our brave youth went to the distance between our front lines and the enemy to target tanks at a closer point and were themselves targeted; there were youths like you who rushed to their aid with stretchers amidst waves of fire.
Stating that the aid workers in the Sacred Defense sometimes died themselves to bring the bloody bodies of the fighting youth, Salami continued: This is the most beautiful manifestation of the high spirit of the believing man and this is the strongest manifestation of the spirit of sacrifice among the youth who can risk their lives to save the lives of others and this is the peak of deep human feeling and a clear sign of faith, rooted in a high, heavenly, Quranic and Ashura belief.
Emphasizing that normal movement without the enemy was impossible among barbed wire and in minefields, he recalled: The rescuers at night and in the rain of bullets, inside the minefield, where one by one the youth of this land fell to the ground to liberate their land, for their independence and for the greatness of this nation forever, and other youth rushed to their aid. These events are rarely imaginable in the mind, they are amazing and beyond the scope of our belief and imagination, but the story of the rescue did not end here.
The IRGC commander continued in this regard: The story of the rescue in the war was such that there were more than 1,950 aid posts in the closest distance to the battle lines, where anyone who was injured would first receive first aid there, and then the chain of transmission would transfer him to more than 670 operational emergency rooms, and then to 59 field hospitals, where thousands of honorable doctors, thousands of volunteer and dedicated nurses, and thousands of rescuers completed this chain of life and saving human lives.
If we have prepared ourselves for great battles, it is due to the youth who sacrificed their lives for the independence of this homeland.
Salami, describing the honor, greatness, and sacrifice that permeated the aid workers of the Holy Defense, referred to a verse from Surah Hashr and stated: “And they will affect themselves, even if they had a special status.” This was beautifully interpreted in providing aid to the wounded on the war fronts, even the doctors and nurses who saved the wounded in our city hospitals. All of this shows that the Iranian nation has bonded with each other with their hearts in difficult circumstances. There is no problem that cannot be solved in this country, all difficulties become easy, and people rush to help each other very quickly, borders are removed, and everyone becomes relatives.
He added: "In difficult circumstances, brotherhoods expand and the earth becomes the arena of the most beautiful manifestation of human feelings and emotions; this was the work of our relief youth, but this beautiful and luminous path of sacrifice did not end. We saw you wherever an incident occurred, in the flood in Abqola, Gomishan, Pol-e-Dokhtar, Khuzestan, the Kermanshah earthquake, the Azerbaijan earthquake, in the snow and cold, and incidents such as the Shahid Rajaee port, and even in incidents abroad, the mature, faithful, and revolutionary youth are unknown and everywhere the creators of our honors to save the lives of their compatriots, co-religionists, and even non-compatriots."
The Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, recalling that today we are the guests of our martyrs, continued: "They are present in this spiritual space, they see, they are witnesses and observers; dear ones, know this. If today this country has achieved political independence, if it can be said that we are among the few countries that are not subject to the political will of great powers, it is thanks to these martyrdoms." If today we are walking on the path of our economic independence and oppressive pressures and sanctions have not been able to force the Iranian nation to surrender, but have instead created countless opportunities for it to become independent, all of these are the eternal legacy of the martyrs, 3,100 of whom you have gathered here today to honor.
Salami emphasized: If we are not afraid of the threats of the enemies, if we have prepared ourselves for major battles, if the enemies calculate the strength of the Iranian nation, if they base their calculations on the courage, presence on the stage, and faith of this nation, it is related to the youth who sacrificed their lives to save this land, revive the values of religion, for the honor of Islam, and the independence of this homeland.
We have learned that we should not back down
He referred to verse 92 of the Holy Quran’s Surah Al-Imran, “You will not attain righteousness until you spend of what you love.” He stated: The most beautiful act of charity is when a person spends from what he loves, and life is the sweetest asset of human life. Our martyrs offered their lives, sacrificed their dreams for this nation, and left their families alone. They said no to all their worldly ideals and aspirations and made the attainment of divine pleasure the criterion of their lives.
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, raising the issue that when a country has such men who leave their homes in difficult moments and have the spirit of migration to reach the field of jihad, such a nation will never be defeated, added: A nation that is indestructible, invincible, impenetrable, indecent, never defeated, such a nation raises the banner of authority and independence in the field of diplomacy, such a nation will not be affected by the enemy's satanic insinuations in the field of cultural jihad. Even the words of the US President, who wants to disappoint the Iranian nation about its revolution and system, have no effect on its soul.
Salami continued in this regard: A nation that, in the words of the great Imam, is martyred, has no captivity, a nation that moves behind its master and raises the banner of resistance and acts with all its heart on the words of its guardian, such a nation will never be defeated, we are the owners of this history, the owners of the events that we rely on. We are the companions of Ashura, the companions of Badr, Hunain, and Khaybar, we overcome the enemy in the war of factions. We have learned that we should not retreat, we have learned that we must stand firm and determined against the unjust excesses of the enemy in all fields; we have learned that the strengthening of the moon lies in our resistance.
