He said in this regard: Dr. Majid Takht-Ravanchi (Deputy Political Affairs Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and I had a serious, frank and detailed conversation with the political leaders of the three European countries and the European Union. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: The latest developments related to the lifting of sanctions and the nuclear issue were discussed and examined.
He added: While seriously criticizing their positions on the recent aggressive war against our people, we explained our principled positions, including on the so-called snapback mechanism. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: Both sides came to the meeting with specific ideas, the various aspects of which were examined. He also said: It was agreed that consultations on this matter will continue.
The sixth round of talks between Iran and three European countries, Germany, France and the UK, and the EU's deputy foreign policy chief, was held in Istanbul today, Friday, August 23, at the level of deputy ministers and political directors-general. On May 16, Istanbul hosted the fifth round of talks between Iran and three European countries at the level of deputy ministers. The previous four meetings were also held in New York and Geneva (one round in New York and three rounds in Geneva).
