This attention has led to the writing of numerous works throughout history, each of which has analyzed and explained this event from a specific perspective.
Ghadir fi al-Kitab wa al-Sunnah wa al-Adab is considered the most comprehensive and detailed work on the Ghadir event. In this valuable book, Allama Amini, referring to numerous Shiite and Sunni sources, has proven the implication of the Ghadir event on the immediate Imamate and caliphate of Imam Ali (AS). While examining historical documents and evidence, he has responded to the doubts and objections raised in this regard. This book is written in 11 volumes in Arabic and has also been translated into Persian.
Al-Kafi is one of the most authoritative and important Shiite hadith books. In parts of the book Al-Kafi, Sheikh Kulayni has mentioned narrations about the virtues and status of Imam Ali (AS) as well as narrations about the incident of Ghadir.
Al-Kafi is a Shiite hadith source and the most important and reliable source of the four books. This book was written by Muhammad ibn Yaqub ibn Ishaq, known as Kulayni, who compiled it over a period of 20 years. Al-Kafi, which is composed of three sections: Usul, Furu’, and Rawda, is a reference for Shiite scholars. Usul Al-Kafi is considered the most famous section of Al-Kafi. Kulayni aimed to collect Al-Kafi’s hadiths based on not contradicting the Quran and agreeing with consensus.

Kamal al-Din wa Tamam al-Ni’ma or Ikmal al-Din wa Ittam’ al-Ni’ma is a book in Arabic written by the Shiite scholar Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Babawayh al-Qummi, known as Sheikh Saduq. In this book, he discusses the occultation and reappearance of Imam al-Zaman (a.s). Sheikh Saduq gives numerous examples of the occultation of divine prophets and thoroughly examines the Imamate of Hazrat Mahdi (a.s), his birth, the narrations of the Prophet and the Imams (a.s) regarding his reappearance, those who have reached the service of the Imam, and the conditions of his reappearance.
Al-Irshad fi Ma’rifat Hujjaj Allah Ali al-Ibad by Sheikh Mufid describes the lives of the pure Imams (a.s), and in it, Sheikh Mufid mentions the incident of Ghadir and its place in proving the Imamate of Hazrat Ali (a.s).
Al-Arshad fi Ma’rufah al-Hujjaj Allah ‘Ala al-Ibad, known as “Al-Arshad”, is a book about the life history of the Shiite Imams (a.s.) written in Arabic by Sheikh Mufid, one of the prominent Shiite theologians and jurists. Sheikh Mufid compiled this book based on the narrations he had. The book of Al-Arshad consists of two parts, the largest part of which is dedicated to the biography and mention of the virtues of Imam Ali (a.s.) and the life of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the incident of Karbala. Sheikh Mufid also refers to the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) and their companions in this book. Due to the importance and status of this book and its author, much research has been conducted on it. Sayyid Hashim Rasuli has translated and published Al-Arshad in Persian and Dr. Howard in English.
Although Al-Bayan wa al-Tabiyyin does not specifically address the incident of Ghadir, its author, Jahiz, has mentioned in some parts of it the narrations in the virtues of Imam Ali (AS) that are somehow related to the incident of Ghadir.
