According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, emphasized regarding International Quds Day: International Quds Day is a symbol of the resistance of the oppressed against the arrogant.

He also referred to the situation in Palestine and said: Today we are faced with a deep-rooted Palestinian resistance among the people of this land, which continues its path with strength.

Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Quds Day has gone beyond Palestine and has become a global issue.

He said: Understanding the impact of this day on the history of the region is very important, because since its announcement until today, many developments have occurred in favor of the liberation of Palestine.

Sheikh Qassem added: Today we are facing a deep-rooted resistance in Palestine, whose goal is freedom from the sea to the river. He also emphasized that Operation "Al-Aqsa Storm" has turned the Palestinian issue into a global issue.

Regarding Lebanon, he said: "Today, we have become an important power in confronting the Zionist regime and are facing a major transformation that will have its direct effects."

Referring to Israel's expansionist policies, Sheikh Qassem stated: "For the past 75 years, this regime has continued to expand its occupation in Palestine based on its expansionist goals, but the Palestinian people are invincible, because they have the right promised in the Book of God and will ultimately be victorious."

He emphasized: "Lebanese Hezbollah believes that the Palestinian issue is a right and is committed to liberating the holy sites, including Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the first Qibla of Muslims."

Referring to the party's adherence to the line of thought of Imam Khomeini, the Secretary General of Hezbollah said: "We are committed to the leadership of Imam Khamenei and emphasize continuing the path of resistance."

He also emphasized: "We declare our pledge to Jerusalem, even though this path is accompanied by many hardships and sacrifices."

We are working to liberate Lebanon and maintain its security

Sheikh Qassem, referring to Hezbollah’s role in supporting Lebanon and Palestine, emphasized: We are working to liberate Lebanon and maintain its security. Hezbollah has provided important assistance to the Palestinian people and the resistance in Gaza.

He also pointed to the role of the late Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon and said: Hezbollah’s support for Palestine is manifested at its highest level, and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the nation’s martyrs, is an example of this sacrifice.

Sheikh Qassem warned that Lebanon, especially the south of the country, is still on the list of Israel’s expansionist targets and evidence shows that the regime is seeking occupation.

He added: Israel’s movements in the Houla and Shamma areas indicate its intention to be present on Lebanese soil.

He emphasized: Israel is an expansionist enemy and will not be limited to its current borders, but at the same time, our resistance is capable of neutralizing this regime’s aggression and preventing it from achieving its goals.

Sheikh Qassem said: Victory means continuing resistance and preventing the enemy from achieving its goals, and we were able to stop Israel in its advances in the battle of "Oli al-Bas."

Sheikh Qassem also emphasized that the Palestinian people are invincible and will ultimately win.

Referring to regional developments and the continued aggression of the Zionist regime, he stated: Israel has violated the agreements and continues its daily attacks against Lebanon.

The Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized that the party has fully adhered to the agreement and has not had any armed presence south of the Litani River, but Israel has still not withdrawn from this area.

Rejecting Israel's justifications for Hezbollah's violation of the ceasefire, he considered these claims meaningless and said: "Lebanon, together with the resistance, has fully implemented the agreement, but it is Israel that has not adhered to its obligations."

Completely Opposing Normalization of Relations with the Zionist Regime and Emphasizing Countering Israeli Aggression

Sheikh Qassem emphasized his opposition to any normalization of relations with Israel and said: "We cannot accept that the Zionist enemy achieves through political and diplomatic means what it did not achieve in war."

He also pointed out that the pillars of the Lebanese government are on the path of opposing normalization, and this issue is one of Lebanon's unchangeable principles.

The need to confront Israeli aggression

While emphasizing the need to end the Zionist regime’s aggression, he stated that the Lebanese government must stand against these aggressions and that it cannot be accepted that Israel attacks Lebanon whenever it wants.

Sheikh Qassem also warned that Israel cannot achieve its goals through pressure, occupying border points, and committing its crimes, because the resistance is still present on the scene.

Referring to the steadfastness of the resistance, the Hezbollah Secretary General said: “We will not allow anyone to take away our power in confronting Israel. If we have waited so far, this patience has been in order to give political and diplomatic solutions a chance, but Lebanese officials must know that everything has a limit.”

However, he noted that there is still time for a political and diplomatic solution to this crisis.

Hezbollah's role in Lebanon's political structure

Sheikh Qassem also referred to Hezbollah's role in Lebanon's political structure and said: Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have taken a big step towards establishing an efficient government by electing a consensus president and completing the Lebanese cabinet.

He emphasized that Hezbollah is an inseparable part of the process of building the Lebanese state, and the country can only achieve progress and stability with the participation of all its people.

The need for Israel to unconditionally withdraw from Lebanon and begin reconstruction

Sheikh Qassem, referring to the illegal presence of the Zionist regime on Lebanese soil, said: Israel must withdraw from Lebanon without any conditions.

He also emphasized the need to begin the reconstruction process in Lebanon and said that this issue should not be tied to any other issue.

Position on developments in Syria

Regarding developments in Syria, the Hezbollah Secretary General also emphasized that what is happening in this country has nothing to do with Hezbollah.

At the end of his speech, he called on the Lebanese army to take its responsibility to protect citizens from attacks on the Lebanese-Syrian borders seriously.
