According to Ashura News, citing Euronews, the Reuters news agency, citing five informed sources, announced that Syria and the occupiers of Jerusalem have been holding direct talks in recent weeks.

According to the Reuters news agency, these talks began with the encouragement of the United States after the fall of Bashar al-Assad last December and the rise of terrorists affiliated with the Nusra Front in Damascus, and are part of Washington's change in foreign policy towards Damascus and the Golan Heights.

While indirect talks between the two sides had begun since the fall of Bashar al-Assad and the rise of terrorists led by Golan Heights, reports indicate that direct contacts have recently begun between security officials from both sides, including Ahmed al-Dalati, the head of security for the provinces of Quneitra and Sweida in the Golan Heights, and the Zionists.

The identity of the representatives of the Zionist regime was not specified in the report, but two sources have confirmed that security officials of the occupiers of Jerusalem are involved. Sources said several rounds of face-to-face meetings have taken place, even in areas under Israeli control.

The talks are currently said to be focused on reducing border clashes, preventing Israeli infiltration into Syrian villages and maintaining security. However, two sources said the contacts could pave the way for broader political agreements.
