According to Ashura News, citing IRNA, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Majid Ansari, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the government board meeting on Wednesday, said: "No new ruling has been issued, and only the appeals court has confirmed the ruling of the first instance court. We hope that a way will be found, either through reconciliation or diplomacy, to return this building, which belongs to the Pension Fund of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Oil Employees, to the country."

Stating that there were special conditions at the time, but it was preventable, he said: "The nature of legal cases with this volume is long, and Crescent 2 and 3 are still ongoing. Our International Law Center and the Ministry of Oil are working on this issue, and we hope that we can fulfill the rights of the Iranian people as we continue the Crescent's path."

The vice president for legal affairs added: "I wish more care had been taken at the time and this case had not been filed."

Regarding some claims about the confiscation of Babak Zanjani’s assets in Malaysia in favor of Iran, Ansari stated: “This is a claim that has no basis and there is no proven fact in this regard. I request that the media not publish this news because this news will be cited against the Islamic Republic or claimed by individuals who still have conviction cases.

Stating that the CFT is one of the four conventions that the Islamic Republic of Iran has signed, he reminded: Earlier, the Islamic Consultative Assembly ratified two conventions on combating money laundering and the Palermo Convention, and has also taken measures on combating terrorism. We have much better, stricter and more serious regulations in our domestic laws regarding each of these issues.

The Vice President for Legal Affairs added: “As you know, the Convention on the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) was developed in order to combat this phenomenon. The Islamic Republic of Iran, which has been a victim of terrorism since its inception, has unfortunately been accused of supporting terrorism at the global level due to the failure to ratify these conventions in a timely manner.

Ansari added: "While if legal and timely documentation measures were taken, especially regarding the MKO - the MKO who have killed about 17,000 of our citizens in terrorist operations and targeted our officials - and everyone knows what they did to us in the 1960s - today, these groups, as human rights claimants, have been placed in the lap of European countries and are under their protection, and they act as agents of the terrorist state of Israel to bomb residential centers, hospitals, universities, the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, and the military forces and defenders of our country."

He said: "If we had used legal tools in a timely manner, each of these individuals would have been subject to legal prosecution, and we could have pursued these terrorists, whose hands are stained with the blood of the people, through the international police and other institutions."

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Ansari added: I testify that the Assembly held a detailed expert discussion on the CFT and no case was discussed to this extent in specialized working groups.

Stating that all claims for and against were heard and examined in detail, he added: The Assembly approved the CFT with an open mind and in consideration of the interests of the country, and by joining this convention, the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the judiciary, and the legal assistance are more open to prosecute terrorists, including Israel, in attacking Iran, and we have a better legal tool at hand.

The Vice President for Legal Affairs stated: We hope that with the necessary follow-up in the FATF, we will also be removed from the black list and absolute lack of cooperation and join the gray list. Of course, this issue is not very important to us because despite the sanctions, this issue is not very effective.
