The spirit of independence has long flowed through the veins of the Iranian nation; from Ariobarzen's resistance against Alexander to Abbas Mirza's resistance against the Russians and the Tobacco Movement against British colonialism.
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, the spirit of independence among Iranians is a spirit that has been rooted in their being for years. Iranians have always stood up to demands for surrender. In the battle with Alexander the Great, Arius Barzan, the Iranian general, did not bow down to the Macedonians' excessive demands and, after imposing a cost on Alexander's army, lost his life in the defense of the country. Centuries later, with the invasion of Tsarist Russia on Iranian soil, Abbas Mirza, Crown Prince of Fath Ali Shah and the commander of the Iranian army at the time, was able to liberate parts of the country's territory in the war with Russia by joining the popular forces and equipping and modernizing the Iranian army, and in some cases, defeating the enemy army.
Less than a century later, the Iranian people were able to create the Tobacco Movement with their unity and joint action led by Shiite scholars. By boycotting and not using tobacco, the people were able to force the Shah to cancel the concession in response to the granting of tobacco concessions to a British company.
Experience has shown that the Iranian people are potentially independent and will not surrender as long as someone tries to bring them to their knees.
In contrast to this self-confidence, the arrogant powers in the world want to use the capacity of these countries and develop themselves by surrendering culturally and materially rich countries. America is an example of this expansionism tied to arrogance. A country that, from the moment of its formation, almost completely destroyed an indigenous race and attached the label of savage Indians to it to justify its crimes.
America is a country that is inherently formed with a colonial idea. Europeans came to the Americas about 500 years ago with the desire to exploit the continent and destroyed the native Indians of the continent either through killing and spreading infectious diseases or through cultural assimilation policies such as boarding schools, leading to cultural alienation. In addition, they brought millions of Africans to America by ship for agriculture and construction to form an artificial civilization that is economically rich, but culturally and historically has nothing to say except exploitation. It is worth mentioning that many of these Africans did not succeed in serving this artificial civilization and died on the ships en route to the Americas.
In any case, America was able to become an economic power after various oppressions against various societies and, in this way, also influenced world culture. It was also able to develop in terms of science and technology by bringing and attracting scientists from other countries.
The main idea of America was to keep the whole world under its control so that it could use all global capacities to maintain its power. For this purpose, it created so-called international institutions so that it could keep countries under its control with titles such as international treaties and global cooperation, while at the same time with multiple and different standards for itself and others. Today, we see the manifestation of this domination in the presence of military bases in the West Asian region.
America's plan for our region is to refer every country seeking security to its proxy force and present the Zionist regime as a source of security. The Abraham Accords as a plan to normalize relations with the regime are also in this direction. Iran, in the meantime, has managed to maintain its security and stability despite the Western efforts to represent that if someone seeks security, they must seek help from our proxy force in the region and have relations with the Zionist regime; while confronting the Zionist regime's excesses. Although Iran is surrounded by US military bases in neighboring countries, Iran has been able to significantly increase its defense and military capabilities to a deterrent level, setting a model for other countries in the region.
On the other hand, Iran, which has a brilliant scientific background in terms of history, has been able to demonstrate its capabilities in various scientific fields, including nuclear energy, nanotechnology, aerospace, medicine, and surgery, despite sanctions and restrictions on access to world science and technology.
Iranians are trying to strengthen the country scientifically and economically in order to confront today's Alexander and defend Iran's existence, and the people have united around the axis of a strong Iran.
