Araqchi: No negotiation round has been held so far

The Foreign Minister, noting that we are interested in diplomacy and negotiation, but indirectly, announced that no round of negotiations has been held so far.

According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, who attended the National Security Commission meeting of the Parliament this evening to present a report on the latest state of our country’s foreign policy and the issue of Iran-US negotiations, said on the sidelines of this meeting in an interview with the House of People regarding the latest state of the negotiations with the US: “We have announced our point of view, so we are in favor of diplomacy and negotiations, but indirectly, of course, it must be admitted that no negotiations have been held so far.”

Regarding the statements of the American senator that the president of this country prefers an agreement with Iran to be similar to the agreement Washington reached with Libya in 2003, the Foreign Minister clarified: “Unless they are dreaming.”

This member of the cabinet of the 14th government stated regarding the holding of a special meeting of the French President with key ministers and senior military and security experts regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran: “They have presented their own assessment; Every country can have its own assessment and analysis, but if they take any action in this direction, we will consider them partners in any action taken against our country; but as far as we can understand, this meeting was an assessment and analysis.
