According to Ashura News, quoting ISNA, Mohammad Reza Aref, in a meeting with the heads of delegations participating in the third Iran-Africa Economic Cooperation Conference, emphasized that the African continent is one of the important development poles in the future of the world, and stated: The strategy of developing relations and sincere cooperation at high levels and in all sectors with African countries is on the agenda of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The First Vice President also noted in this meeting, which was attended by high officials, ministers, heads of African delegations, heads of chambers of commerce, representatives and activists of the private sector of African countries, and heads and important regional organizations of Africa, that the previous Iran-Africa cooperation summits had brought good and valuable achievements, but were not operational and implemented, adding: It should be followed up and implemented by expanding relations, agreements, and interactions between Iran and African countries.

Referring to the history of Iran's long-standing interactions with African countries over the past centuries, he emphasized: The long history of Iran-Africa relations is a support and capital for expanding Iran's relations with this ancient continent.

Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved valuable achievements thanks to the blessings of the revolutionary, scholarly and distinguished forces and the presence of the people, and by relying on domestic resources and forces despite the cruel and illegal sanctions, Aref continued: Today, we are in a state of self-reliance in agricultural, industrial, scientific and technological products, especially advanced technologies, relying on domestic production, and good technological advances have given the Islamic Republic of Iran the upper hand and have placed Iran in a position to meet the needs of friendly countries and countries interested in developing relations with Iran without expectations.

Emphasizing that we believe in balanced and balanced relations in foreign policy interactions, he clarified: Developing exports and imports must be on the agenda simultaneously, and in this regard, identifying the possibilities of African countries is a necessity for the Islamic Republic of Iran so that we can look at the economies of African countries with a complementary perspective and, on the other hand, exploit the possibilities of African countries to meet and meet the needs and capacities.

Emphasizing the need to identify the capabilities and capacities of African countries and Iran, the First Vice President added: Activating the private sector and facilitating travel and tourism will contribute significantly to identifying the capabilities and capacities of the parties.

Referring to the problems of bureaucracy and the cumbersome administrative system for developing relations, Aref said: Obstacles to the development of cooperation, including legal obstacles, must be identified and removed with the authority of governments and ministers. In this regard, the mechanism of the Joint Commission is a key step, which must be formed at the highest levels, and good solutions can be reached in specialized meetings to resolve problems on the path to developing relations.

The First Vice President stated: The meetings of the Africa Headquarters with a strong and active secretariat have been activated seriously to address the requests and opinions of African countries in the 14th government.

He stated that in the West, they are promoting Iranophobia with a specific goal and are trying to portray an unrealistic image of Iran in the world by raising false issues, adding: The United States and some European countries are pursuing these interests in their strategies, and we must be able to eliminate the wrong mentality in this regard through interaction and exchanges.

The First Vice President said: We must be able to eliminate the irrational threats that are created by Western countries as a result of Iranophobia by increasing contacts with civilized countries and the thousands-year-old culture of Africa.

Aref added: The view of Western countries towards Africa is that it is the West's private life and should always be at their disposal, and that they should use the resources of the ancient African continent as guardians, and this strategy of avoiding Africa is being raised in the world and is also well felt in regional summits, and it is our duty to neutralize this immoral and inhumane strategy.
