The head of the Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee stated that foreign policy should not be limited solely to nuclear negotiations, adding: "Strengthening regional and global cooperation is on the agenda of the diplomatic apparatus."
According to Ashur News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Abbas Golroo stated that we should make the most of the capacity for communication with all countries, stating: Diplomacy and foreign policy are not a single issue, and in this regard, the Supreme Leader said that the Oman negotiations are one of dozens of tasks and works of the diplomatic apparatus.
He continued: Naturally, while pursuing bilateral and multilateral communications, we must also consider capacities such as BRICS and Shanghai.
The head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: Communication with neighbors and regional countries is also very important, and fortunately, in recent times, we have witnessed that the President and the Foreign Minister have made trips to neighboring countries and the region, and strengthening these relations is very important.
Golroo emphasized: We hope that strengthening the relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with its neighbors will lead to the growth and development of the region, eliminate misunderstandings, resolve disputes, and achieve peace and stability in the region.
The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued: Indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States are one of dozens of measures that our country's diplomacy team is pursuing, and our officials are also pursuing negotiations and relations with other countries in addition to pursuing this issue.
Stating that Iran's foreign relations are very diverse, he emphasized: Signing bilateral and multilateral memorandums, understandings, and agreements, especially in the trade and economic fields, is of great importance to us in terms of currency exchange. Fortunately, our country's diplomatic apparatus is following all these issues well in addition to conducting nuclear negotiations.
The head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly continued, responding to a request from a group of parliamentarians that the government should send a comprehensive strategic bill between Iran and Russia to the parliament, saying: According to the constitution, a cooperation document or treaty must be ratified by the parliament after it is signed by the two countries. Accordingly, the government should definitely submit this bill to the Islamic Consultative Assembly for review and approval after it is prepared.
