According to Ashura News, citing ISNA, the meeting of the National Social Council was held this Wednesday evening with the presence of Dr. Masoud Pezshkian.

In this meeting, the President emphasized the necessity of institution-building and social networking to deal with cultural and social harms and challenges, and considered the solution to overcome the chronic problems of society to be utilizing the capacity of the people.

Referring to the ineffectiveness of directives and instructions alone in solving some problems, Pezzekian added: In all matters, if people are brought to the scene, many of the problems and challenges that cannot be resolved through administrative procedures will be resolved with the help of public participation.

Referring to the existence of extensive and deep-rooted social structures in the country, including mosques, schools, and health centers, the President stated: If local bases are formed in these contexts with the presence and synergy of various guilds and strata, the government’s goals in the fields of culture, education, regulating energy imbalances, and improving people’s livelihoods can be achieved in a tangible and effective manner.

Pezshkiancontinued by calling the transformation of mosques into operational bases one of the government’s strategic approaches and said: In addition to advancing government programs with a popular and empathetic approach, this measure will increase social capital, reconnect people with mosques, and strengthen national cohesion.

The President emphasized: Solving social harms and problems is not possible except through the path of building popular networks and attracting social participation. It is unacceptable that after 47 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, people distance themselves from their original beliefs and values. Today, more than ever, we must return to the people, involve them in decision-making, and rely on their unparalleled capacity to guide the country through the difficult times.
