The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "Whenever we entrust work to the government system, we are doomed to failure and that system will sooner or later become corrupt. We need a popularization movement in the country."
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said at the Alavi Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Festival in the Imam Khomeini Complex (RA) while congratulating the birth of Imam Reza (AS), "Work is the essence of humans. Human life, spirituality, as well as material things and personality depend on work; and that is the effort and work that is for a society that deserves to be served and is deprived and, in a sense, oppressed."
He added: "Perhaps this oppression is [caused and] created by us, the officials and those in charge."
The Speaker of the Assembly stated: "We call someone oppressed someone who has potential but does not have the opportunity and platform to actualize it, and who has been prevented by others."
Qalibaf clarified: "In the arena of real economic war, we see an enemy who is determined to do what with humanity to humanity, to women, children, infants, and the elderly." [The enemy] is more savage than any beast, so today I want to draw your attention to the fact that you are struggling in this field and therefore that facilitation, that is, that help, work, and struggle that does not allow [for example] that dear young man from Kurdistan [to not use his potential.]
He continued: In fact, with this facilitation, you are providing an opportunity for someone who wants to make the effort he wants and for whatever reason has not been able to realize his potential today, and you are providing it for him under the name of empowerment [and job creation and entrepreneurship].
The Speaker of the Legislative Branch noted: I consider each of you to be a fighter and the best servants of God who provide the means of livelihood for God's servants; you protect their dignity and do not allow a man to be ashamed and embarrassed by his child.
Ghalibaf stated: One of our serious challenges is that we have intentionally and unintentionally excluded people from meaningful participation in all the phenomena that we need in our country.
Ghalibaf continued, stating: We must give people enough economic incentives and provide enough opportunities for them to bring their assets into the country's economy and transform production.
He added: When we provide the platform for our people to come to the scene in this way, we can overcome the problems. The Seventh Plan is a huge opportunity for these developments and reforming banks, for using investments and establishing security for investors.
Ghalibaf stated: I emphasize that at the planning level, we must advance the four steps of smartization, transparency, and popularization, the outcome of which is the efficiency and effectiveness of a failed system. The Alavi Foundation's actions have been increasingly targeted since the last decade and should become even more targeted.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: The experience of all the elites who worked together and the experience of thousands of those who facilitated must be taken into account. We have tried and failed, and today we no longer have the right to continue this trial and error; not that we do not have the right, but we do not have the opportunity.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: We cannot be indifferent to the neighborhood, home, and family in material and spiritual dimensions. The mosque, school, and ultimately the virtual space and platforms must also be considered. In this school-building movement, the Mostazafan Foundation has taken on a serious responsibility.
He continued: In every region, the neighborhood, home, school, mosque, and virtual space must be placed side by side. All of these together can create a great synergy. This will produce culture, wealth, status, power, and knowledge for us.
Ghalibaf stated: If we want to be an independent country, we must be productive. When we want to be productive, we must produce power, wealth, knowledge, and status. This cycle that I mentioned does not occur in the village or the city, but everywhere and it makes no difference; wherever there are mutual relations between humans and places, that is, wherever humans have chosen a place and are living there, this cycle is hidden there.
Ghalibaf stated: If we want a strong Iran, its roots are in a strong Iranian family. If we do not have a strong Iranian family, we will not have a strong Iran.
He added: Our problem now is not money, our problem is wills, thinking and collective work, which we have learned to create opposing polarities in many places. At some level, we need to correct approaches.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: In the legislative sphere, we have tried to move in this direction in the parliament and correct some approaches. This is confirmed by the fact that we reduced the number of laws from 12,500 to about 3,000 in the past year. Part of the bureaucracy is due to inflation in legislation.
He noted: In May 1403, we passed the law on the financing system for production and projects in the parliament and it was announced, but its executive regulations have not yet been formulated. In this law, we focused on how people and their assets and Anfal can be included in production.
Qalibaf said: A volume of people's assets is locked up in the banks' facilities fund, which can be released by giving people incentives to enter the economy and production.
He continued: Whenever we hand over work to the government system, we are doomed to failure and that system will sooner or later become corrupt. We need a popularization movement in the country.
Qalibaf added: Facilitation and creating a platform are very important. People must be included in all these activities. Sometimes young people tell me, "Mr. Qalibaf! Introduce us to a place so that we can work." I tell them to first tell me whether you want a job or a job. They say what's the difference? I say it's very different, and the nature of the work and the job is completely different.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: "Work is the essence, life, personality, identity, and dignity of a human being. But a job is not work. In any case, we must bring people's locked-up capital into the country's investment cycle by ensuring its security."
