According to Ashura News, citing Fars News Agency, President Masoud Pezzekian this afternoon (Wednesday, September 12), while explaining the achievements of his four-day trip to China to participate in the Shanghai Summit, said: "During this trip, we had a conversation with the Russian President that lasted nearly four hours. We discussed many issues." He added: "We discussed scientific, regional, economic, and snapback issues." At the same summit, the foreign ministers of the three countries, Iran, China, and Russia, signed a letter regarding the illegality of the behavior of the three European countries regarding snapback. This letter was delivered to the UN Security Council.
The president said: "We had a meeting with the Chinese President. We exchanged views with the Turkish President. Very important, vital, and strategic decisions were made. The rest of the issues will be followed up by the Foreign Minister and the Economy Minister. Regarding security and defense issues, the Defense Minister was present and good discussions took place." He continued: "Follow-up will be necessary in this regard as well." On the sidelines of the summit, we were able to have conversations with the presidents of other countries, even on an outpatient basis, and shake hands. The summit that we attended during this time was a good opportunity to build understanding and empathy.
