According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian attended a meeting of the Minister and managers of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad at the State Trading Company today, Saturday, September 15, 1404, and while listening to their reports and views, he explained his most important expectations from this executive agency in a speech.

The President stated the need to reduce the current costs of executive agencies, including the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, given the breadth and multiplicity of its sub-divisions and human resources, as one of his most important expectations, and stated: Eliminating parallel work, managing current costs, increasing productivity, and making the administrative structure smaller and more agile are among the measures that can help control the current costs of administrative agencies.

Pezeshkian added: Given the significant impact of the current costs of the agencies on the inflation rate, managing these costs is of double importance.

The Ministry of Agriculture’s priority is to decide how to plant according to available resources

The President mentioned maintaining and creating a balance between resources and expenditures as another necessity that should be given more attention, and stated: This important issue should be the main concern of all executive bodies, including the Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture. In the Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture, what to plant, where to plant, and how to plant should be the central priority of all planning and actions, considering the available resources.

Pezizian also emphasized the need to strive for a fair distribution of subsidies and ensure that they reach the main consumers, saying: The Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture is one of the largest consumers of government currency, and the spending of these resources must be carefully monitored and managed so that the main consumers benefit from its revenues, not so that the more advantaged individuals, who naturally have more purchases, benefit more from these resources.

The President mentioned paying more attention to increasing investment in technology and utilizing new equipment and solutions in the agricultural sector, managing consumption and demand together with supply, optimizing and closely monitoring the process of purchasing and supplying basic goods from abroad in order to prevent an increase in the costs of supplying goods at every stage from purchasing abroad to delivering them within the country, and making maximum use of trade capacities in the region, among his other expectations from the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad.

Greenhouses should be moved to the southern coast of the country

Emphasizing the need to review the licensing model as well as the management of the construction of greenhouse units and the cultivation pattern, the doctors noted: The construction of greenhouses should also be moved to the southern coast of the country, given the availability of water resources and more favorable export conditions. On the other hand, the traditional and usual practices of cultivation should be seriously reviewed, and of course, this issue should be comprehensively examined, planned, and implemented by carefully considering all aspects and possible social consequences. This action should be carried out in the form of a working group and with maximum inter-sectoral relations.

Utilizing unused capacities in the food production sector and processing industries in order to create more added value from agricultural products with an export approach, trying to benefit from successful global experiences in the field of desertification, reviewing the policy, mission, and performance of research centers in the field of agriculture in order to improve productivity and maximize the use of their capacities in proportion to the allocated resources, and organizing the distance between the supply of agricultural products from the farm to the family table with the aim of eliminating intermediaries, preventing unjustified price increases, allocating product profits to real producers, and preventing injustice to consumers were other expectations raised by the President in this meeting.

Pezizian also called on the managers of various departments of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad to consider the full implementation of the policies and programs announced with the aim of elevating, honoring and glorifying the country as their main mission and concern, and stated: Present any part of the programs and policies that you think are not feasible in a reasoned and documented manner so that necessary measures can be taken to correct and update them in coordination with the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

The President also called on the Minister and managers of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad to adopt a "special focus" approach, monitor the progress of affairs and the implementation of programs accurately, continuously and regularly, and while ensuring the effective progress of the measures, submit a report on it.

Growth or backwardness comes from us and you, the managers

Pezizian also emphasized that in any field, refrain from preparing only written documents and programs and be sure to prepare an action and implementation plan, adding: Growth or backwardness comes from us and you, the managers; The future is what we will and act towards. If we are determined, we can overcome problems and continuously improve the process. It is enough for everyone to move forward by a certain step every day. It is not worthy of these people and this country to face such difficulties with all their blessings and talents.

The President emphasized: Work does not proceed by mere command and prohibition; instead of asking others to improve themselves, everyone should start improving themselves. Instead of looking for the culprit, we should seek to identify the cause of the problems and fix them. Let us learn from the experiences of others, enhance our capabilities, continuously strive to improve, and believe that we can overcome problems and be the best. Establishing maximum inter-sectoral communication is not possible with orders and circulars. We must pursue communication in a scientific manner and in this regard, establish effective and positive interaction with the people in order to benefit from their participation in the best way.
