Referring to the understanding on the completion of more than 800 trillion tomans of investment in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces, the President said: "What was done in the past is the past, but what is happening today is considered a very important achievement. Instead of making this great event bitter in the people's mouth, we should see it as a sweet opportunity for the province."
According to Ashura News, citing ISNA, Masoud Pezzekian, continuing his travel plans to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces, said in a meeting with investors and economic activists of the province on Thursday, referring to the discussion of some topics outside the topic of the meeting: What can I complain about? If we talk about issues that are the topic of the meeting in the meetings, we can move forward more easily.
The president emphasized the need to focus on the agenda and added: Instead of raising issues that should be discussed elsewhere, it is better to talk about investment and economic issues of the province here so that we can make more accurate decisions.
Referring to the report presented at the meeting, Pezzekian continued: The work done with investors in this meeting is a great achievement in my opinion. If you look at these numbers, over 800 trillion tomans of investment is being made.
The President clarified to some comments about the performance of previous governments: What was done in the past is the past, but what is happening today is considered a very important achievement. Instead of making this great event bitter for the people, we should see it as a sweet opportunity for the province. Today, in this meeting with these dear investors, about 800 thousand billion tomans of investment is being formed, while the total credit that the government can allocate for the entire country is about 600 thousand billion tomans, if all of it can be paid.
Referring to the role of private investors, Pezizkian said: This incident that is happening with private investors, banks and companies in the region, in my opinion is a great achievement. You said to invite some investors to come to Tehran; we said to come, let's sit down, have a meeting, and follow up. We must beg the investor to come and work and we will remove the obstacles in his way.
The President continued: The action that is currently being taken and the work that is being formed is a blessed action, despite all the problems. We will help with any issue that needs to be addressed. Our duty is to serve the people, we will do whatever we can to solve the problems without any favors and especially for the deprived areas that are of more concern to us than anywhere else.
In another part of his speech about water and environment-related projects, Pezizian clarified: Universities are reviewing them in relation to water, agriculture, soil and environment. We will not make any intervention without expert opinion; not just administrative expertise, because each department has its own expert, but we have involved universities. The University of Tehran, Shahid Modarres, Ferdowsi of Mashhad and Allameh Tabatabaei, who have no bias towards any region, are reviewing the issue and we will implement whatever result they deem appropriate in terms of science, expertise and the environment.
The President added: Are we crazy to disrupt the environment? In Tehran, we will not allow any development to take place without considering the capacities. We have emptied ourselves; we have brought the water of the rivers and now Tehran, Karaj and the surrounding cities are facing water problems and environmental issues, the land is subsiding and a dangerous future lies ahead. We must manage and we will not make any decisions without expert support.
Pezizkian thanked the investors of the province and said: First of all, I would like to thank the investors, we will follow up so that these projects come to fruition as soon as possible. I also appreciate the brothers and respected representatives for the efforts they are making to attract investment. Please accompany us; we are ready in Tehran. I have also told Hajja Movahedi and Dr. Bahrami, come to Tehran, whoever wants to invest, we will remove any obstacle in their way, we will also call the relevant ministers, we will also be present.
The President added: We have a special meeting with the private sector every month. In addition, we have regular meetings with the relevant ministers. Our whole thought and intention is to open the platform for the private sector to operate easily. Although there are obstacles, we are gradually removing these obstacles. It is not possible to imagine that we can remove all obstacles at once, and if I say that it is possible, I am not telling the truth; but we are determined to remove these obstacles by preserving the environment and considering the country's potential.
Emphasizing the necessity of relying on domestic power, Pezizian stated: I believe that by relying on the people, producers, academics, elites and entrepreneurs, we will overcome all obstacles. Mindsets should not be driven towards ego and seeking share. From the day I entered the field, before the elections and during the elections, I said that my belief and conviction is that Iran belongs to all Iranians. All Iranians, regardless of ethnicity, gender, taste, and belief, should be allowed to grow and participate based on their merit. This is our duty and we will pursue this work.
Referring to the leadership’s role in this path, the President said: With the guidance and wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, this process is progressing. For the first time in Sistan and Baluchestan, a Baluch governor was appointed, and for the first time in Kurdistan Province, a Sunni Kurdish governor was appointed. This work would not have been possible without the Supreme Leader’s opinion and support, and it was done with his support.
Recalling the recent words of the Supreme Leader, Pezizian continued: The Supreme Leader said this week that we should all be together, just like during the 12-day war. The enemy’s hope turns into despair when we are together and do not think that we are separate; one is a Lor, one is a Turk, one is a Kurd, one is a Baluch; we are all one. We will strive for Iran and our country, and for honor and pride.
Emphasizing the need to put aside ego, the President explained that in the school of love and sincerity, we must move beyond me and us and look towards the one truth.
Pezizian continued, referring to the necessity of moving towards God, adding: We must move towards God, which is our duty; God is the source of honor, pride, mercy, power, creativity, forgiveness, and kindness. When a person adheres to this path, the veils will fall away one by one.
The President pointed out the importance of selfless service and said: “When it rains, do not ask whose house this is. The roof of the shrine, the mosque, and the tavern are all one. When it rains, do not count the cups. The cup, the goblet, the bowl, and the measure are all one.” When work is done for God and for the people, one should not seek to count the cups and distinguish this from that; one should rain on all people fairly and without gratification.
At the end of his speech, Pezizian emphasized service to all people and stated: Service should be done on the basis of justice and fairness, regardless of ethnicity, gender, taste, and orientation. We must all work together, move forward with strength and dignity, and overcome all problems by relying on producers, scientists, experts, experts, politicians, dear clergy, and the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader.
At this ceremony, and before the President began his speech, a series of infrastructure and investment projects in the health, power, and agriculture sectors of the province were put into operation.
The first project was the Zagros Specialized and Super-Specialized Hospital in Yasuj, which was built with an investment of 1,400 billion Tomans and has the capacity to create 120 direct jobs. This medical center is considered one of the important health projects in the province.
Also, the projects ready for operation of the substation, transmission line, and the ongoing projects of the province's electricity transmission and super-distribution network were officially opened. These projects will play an important role in strengthening the electricity infrastructure and increasing the stability of the network in different regions of the province.
The "Delnaz Gachsaran Slaughterhouse and Cold Storage Complex" was also opened with a capacity of 32,000 tons, an investment of 350 billion Tomans and the creation of 250 job opportunities, which will increase the share of transformation industries by adding 1,400 tons to the province's cold storage capacity.
