Mohajerani: We will need guarantees to preserve the results of the negotiations

According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, "Fatemeh Mohajerani," the government spokesperson, began her speech at the second press conference of 1404 AH with a poem by Saadi and said: "We consider Saadi not only a poet but also a language that speaks of wisdom, rationality, and civilization. He has set various topics for rulers in various fields, including governance and justice, and has set a discourse for human civilization. She previously offered condolences to all Christians in the world and our Christian compatriots for Pope Francis and continued: "Pope Francis worked hard to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and promote peace. He was very active in preventing the killing of women and children all over the world. We hope that God will grant him peace in His mercy."

The Third African Economic Summit to be Hosted by Iran

We also have the Third African Economic Summit ahead, which will be hosted by Iran and will be held from May 7th to 11th, and representatives from 55 African countries will attend it."

He referred to the volume of trade between other countries in the world and African countries and said: We hope to reach a higher volume in terms of investment and export of our products to African countries. Also, in the coming days, we have the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Export Capabilities Exhibition, which is called the EXO Exhibition, and about 150 officials and 3,000 businessmen will participate in this exhibition from May 8. At the three levels of government, businesses and bilateral communication between these sectors will be established.

The government spokesman also addressed the Persian Gulf Day and said: The second round of Iran-US negotiations is underway, which will occur indirectly.

Regarding the approaching anniversary of the martyrdom of service martyrs, which was questioned by a reporter regarding the government’s programs, Mohajerani stated: The head of the Martyr Foundation has been selected as the head of the headquarters for holding the ceremony of the martyrs of service, and the governors have also been appointed and are active as the heads of the headquarters for commemorating the martyrs of service.

He continued in this regard: In yesterday's meeting held with the presence of the President and the governors, the issue of commemorating the martyrs of service was considered, and 6 specialized committees have been set up to hold a grand ceremony and honor the martyrs of service.

Mohajerani referred to the President's visit to Azerbaijan in the second week of May and added: This visit will help develop diplomatic and economic relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.

In response to the question that we are witnessing a decrease in the price of currency and gold during the negotiations, Muhajirani stated: At the time when the currency price was rising sharply, we announced that the figures were not real and the current decrease is an indication of the same claim that the increase in prices was not due to market mechanisms but rather to the psychological burden that was placed on the negotiations. Naturally, the more we can improve international relations and expand international cooperation, the better the economic situation will be. That is why we are negotiating and the lifting of sanctions is meaningful to us, provided that it is effective and we can see its effect in people's lives.

In response to the question of what measures the government has in place for the negotiations, the government spokesman said: "Our effort is to have the first narrative, which is the correct one, as you witnessed in the two rounds of negotiations that many other media outlets had used our media as a news source, and this is a testament to the accuracy of our diplomatic apparatus and the effort is to prevent strange speculations from taking place."

Mohajerani stated: “We are interested in emphasizing during the talks the lifting of oppressive sanctions that affect people’s lives, and of course we are trying to build more trust and transparency in the face of lifting sanctions in a way that is effective. Our main demand is the lifting of sanctions that will have tangible effects.”

In response to a reporter's question about the nuclear negotiations, he stated: "We will not welcome erosive processes and we believe that a good agreement is possible in a limited time."

The Ministry of Economy is not free

The government spokesman also said regarding the government's choice regarding the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance: The government has three months according to the law to introduce its choice and we are trying to choose the best option that can best manage the country's economic conditions. Strengthening environmental diplomacy, which is underway in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Regarding the government's grand plan regarding fine dust and air pollution problems, the government spokesman said: The government is very sorry and expresses dissatisfaction, the focus of fine dust is abroad and for this reason the National Secretariat for Combating Dust in the Environmental Protection Organization has been activated. Strengthening environmental diplomacy, which is underway in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, helps to preserve such environmental issues. Cooperation is also being formed with international organizations, and the issue of planting saplings for watershed management activities in the watershed is on the agenda from the perspective of combating dust in the country.

Regarding the implementation of the Kalaberg plan, which was also the subject of a journalist's question and who asked about the government's plan, Mohajerani stated: "Relief policies and reducing economic pressure on the people are among the issues that have been tried in various ways in the past and their effects have been shown on people's tables, and the regime's will is to continue this process."

He also explained regarding the strategic deputy: "In order to increase the agility of the government, Mr. Esmaili has assumed the positions of parliamentary deputy and strategic deputy simultaneously."

We will not tie anything to negotiations

The government spokesman also said regarding the Seventh Development Plan: We will not tie anything to negotiations and the current affairs of the country are ongoing and the regulations related to the Seventh Development Plan are being followed up in all government meetings.

Regarding the information inconsistencies in the government, Mohajerani said: Some of those coordinations are natural and the government started its work under certain conditions and we are trying to reduce these inconsistencies. The consecutive events that occurred during the 14th government were an additional reason. Our effort is to ensure that a single voice from the government is heard.

Regarding the Saudi Defense Minister's visit to Tehran, he said, in response to a reporter's question about the subject of the visit and its effects: "The special envoy of the Saudi King carried a message from him, and this shows that there is a serious determination and will in the Saudi government to strengthen and deepen cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this shows that in the path we took to establish the strong will of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the position of the Islamic Republic has been defined correctly, and the fourteenth government, by taking advantage of this capacity, is strongly seeking to strengthen regional diplomacy and define more serious cooperation with countries with which we have great commonalities due to Islam and religious background."

Tayebnia has not set an agreement condition for accepting the Ministry of Economy

In response to the question of when the choice of the Minister of Economy will be introduced to the parliament, the government spokesman asked whether Mr. Tayebnia has set an agreement condition in the negotiations for accepting this responsibility. He said: "The government is reviewing its options within the legal opportunity. It is natural that those who want to accept responsibility will hold talks, but it is not the case that Mr. Tayebnia has set such a condition."
