Once upon a time, this policy was pursued by Britain, one day by the Netherlands, and today by America.
Referring to the period of Imam Khomeini's (RA) exile to Najaf Ashraf after the events of 15 Khordad, the head of the legislative branch stated: The most important point of Imam Khomeini's (RA) opposition to the Pahlavi regime was their friendship with the Zionist regime. He believed that the Zionist regime was also a puppet of America to be the root of all disputes and wars in the region, which it did with the help of the British. Therefore, our fight against America and the Zionist regime is a sacred fight based on Quranic education and we are not simply discussing politics, economics, or culture, but rather it is a discussion of right and wrong.

Qalibaf added: "At that time, the economic, cultural, and social conditions of our country were not good, and shortly after the victory of the revolution, we were attacked by another country, and the Iraqi Baath regime fought us for 8 years, but we were able to stand firm and succeed in such conditions, meaning that we did not lose even a single inch of our land."
