According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Masoud Pezshkian, at the ceremony of receiving the credentials of Ms. Bethany Madden, the new New Zealand Ambassador, wished her success in strengthening relations between the two countries, stating: "The Earth is our small home among the vast galaxies, and we must all strive to ensure that this home is always a place of peace and tranquility for its inhabitants, instead of war and conflict."

The President, stating that we are ready to take any action that will facilitate the expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries, in response to the new New Zealand Ambassador's wish for the Iran-US talks to be concluded, clarified: "We welcome and will welcome negotiations, but the rule of dialogue is that no one seeks to bully and impose their demands on the other side."

Pezzekian added: "It is absolutely unacceptable for a regime in the region to commit any crime with the support of powerful countries, but then try to introduce others as disrupters of the security and peace of the region in order to impose their demands under this pretext." Is it fair, logical, and acceptable for them to try to block the path of growth and progress for other countries and then use their exclusive achievements to force others?

The President said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that it is not seeking to build nuclear weapons in any way and has always been ready for any kind of cooperation to prove the truth of this claim.

In this meeting, the new New Zealand ambassador also expressed his appreciation for the warm and friendly treatment he received during his stay in Tehran and noted: I hope and am very motivated to play an effective and constructive role in strengthening relations between the two countries.

Ms. Bethany Madden also referred to her country's positions in expressing concern about the deplorable situation in Gaza and stated: New Zealand has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and expressed its concern about preventing the sending of medical and food aid to this region.
