The draft anti-Iran resolution submitted by three European countries and the United States, under pressure from the Western-Jewish axis, was approved at a meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to Ashura News, citing Al Jazeera, the draft anti-Iran resolution by the three European countries France, Germany and the UK, along with the US, was approved at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency under pressure from the Western-Jewish axis.
According to the media outlet, the European troika and the US were the proposers of this resolution. Iran had previously warned the Western axis about any hostile action in the Board of Governors of the Agency.
According to Reuters, diplomats present at the closed-door meeting said that the 35-member Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency approved a resolution on Thursday, which states that Iran must inform the organization with “full and immediate cooperation” about the status of its 60 percent enriched uranium reserves and bombed nuclear facilities (by the US during the 12-day imposed war against Tehran).
In this regard, Reuters claimed: The primary purpose of this resolution was to extend the mandate of the International Atomic Energy Agency to report on aspects of Iran’s nuclear program!
Of the 35 members of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors, 19 voted in favor of the political resolution, 3 countries - Russia, China and Niger - opposed it, 12 countries abstained and one country did not participate in the vote.
Corinne Kitsell, the British Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who was speaking on behalf of France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States (the Quartet) at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the organization regarding Iran’s implementation of its obligations under the Safeguards Agreement of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), made a ridiculous and demagogue claim a few hours ago, without mentioning the expiration of the legal 10-year term of the 2015 agreement with Tehran (known as the JCPOA), Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the agreement in 2018, and the absolute inaction of the European troika on Iran’s side in the JCPOA in implementing their obligations in accordance with the agreement. She claimed: The Security Council has recently re-imposed restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, and therefore countries are obliged to implement these decisions through their own actions!
The UK Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency said: “Today, the UK, France, Germany and the US are introducing a resolution to clarify the IAEA’s reporting mandate, ensuring that the Agency provides regular reports on Iran’s compliance with the nuclear elements of the Security Council resolutions that have been reinstated. This resolution does not create new obligations for Iran; rather, it restores certainty and provides a clear mandate for the Agency’s reporting, returning to the same reporting as before the JCPOA. This transparency is essential for the Agency to be able to carry out its mission.”
Without condemning the 12-day war imposed by the US and the Zionist regime against Tehran in violation of all international conventions and without mentioning the peaceful nature of Tehran’s nuclear program, he claimed: “This resolution also reminds Iran of its non-compliance with its legal obligations under the NPT Safeguards Agreement, which remains in force.” Iran has not granted access to all of its safeguards facilities. Therefore, this resolution does not ask for more than what Iran is legally obligated to provide: unhindered access, accurate information on the accounting for nuclear material and nuclear facilities under safeguards, and the restoration of necessary safeguards arrangements.
Corinne Kitzel then added: “This resolution reaffirms Iran’s right under Article IV of the NPT to peaceful nuclear energy.According to Ashura News, citing Al Jazeera, the draft anti-Iran resolution by the three European countries France, Germany and the UK, along with the US, was approved at the meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency under pressure from the Western-Jewish axis.
