According to Ashura News, citing Tasnim News Agency, following protests by the people of Minneapolis, America, against the government's immigration policies and the harsh treatment of immigrants, the US National Guard entered the city of Minneapolis to confront protesters.

According to the CBC, Alex Jeffrey Pretty, 37, an American citizen, was killed on Saturday in another shooting in Minneapolis involving federal officers, reigniting public anger over the immigration orders of the Donald Trump administration.

Witness videos show several officers knocking a man to the ground before firing several shots.

Federal authorities claimed that the officers fired in self-defense after an armed confrontation.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in a news conference on Saturday, strongly criticized the Trump administration and its campaign to enforce immigration laws, saying that the campaign was causing tension and chaos in his state.

The shooting comes a little more than two weeks after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and killed Renee Goode in the same city, sparking widespread protests across the United States.
