The First Vice President warned against the increase in enemy psychological operations to affect the country's economy, saying: "A precise, calculated, organized, and systematic international division of labor has been created to hit the Iranian economy, and we must be vigilant in this regard and increase communication with the people."
According to Ashura News, quoted by ISNA, Mohammad Reza Aref, referring to the enemy's psychological operations to disrupt economic stability in Iran, stated at a meeting of the market regulation headquarters: "Part of the issues in the foreign exchange market are related to the psychological operations of the Iranian nation's ill-wishers."
He continued: "The plan of the 14th government is to confront the enemy's psychological operations and create relative stability in the economy. Unfortunately, in recent weeks, there has been overpricing in the market. Therefore, appropriate decisions must be made and timely action must be taken to maintain peace in the market."
Referring to reports by some domestic media outlets regarding the prices of a number of goods in the market, Aref added: "Some domestic media outlets that consider the strategy of maintaining peace in the country are also critical of the prices of a number of goods in the market. The enemy will also continue its psychological operations and is focused on the issue of instability in the economy."
He continued: "During the 12-day war, good measures were taken to ensure stability in the market, and the same path must be pursued more seriously." The people's solidarity and empathy were the secret of our success in that imposed war, and now we must be careful not to harm this national solidarity that the enemy has targeted.
Emphasizing that we must use the best method to provide basic goods to the people, the First Vice President said: Some segments of society are facing livelihood problems and we must support these segments by implementing supportive policies such as distributing electronic product lists. Valuable social capital has been gained in the 12-day war, and this capital should not be abandoned and the people should not be discouraged by inaction.
Aref continued by stating that the government's strategy is to create relative stability in the market, confront overpricing and hoarding, adding: "We must not allow it to be abused in these circumstances. The government has authority, and if necessary, it must show its authority and deal severely with hoarding and overpricing."
He also continued: "We must also use the capacity of unions and guilds and, with empathy, ask guilds and merchants to follow the same vision as during the 12-day war to ensure stability in the market."
The First Vice President emphasized: A rational mechanism must be prepared to control prices. The best method is used to provide basic goods and these goods must be provided on time.
Aref continued: Today, government institutions, including the government, the judiciary, and regulatory institutions, have a single voice and there is not the slightest difference between them, and we must use this opportunity to make decisions in the interest of the people.
He noted: The Market Regulation Headquarters is perhaps the most powerful government headquarters that has authority and power from production to final consumption. Of course, we must promote market stability with the help of the people, the media, and guilds and increase communication with the people. The President has always been concerned about the livelihood of the people and emphasizes that the livelihood of the people must be ensured under any circumstances, so the government always pays attention to the vulnerable groups in its economic decisions.
The First Vice President added: A precise international, calculated, regular, and systematic division of labor has been created to hit the Iranian economy. In this situation, the Secretariat of the Market Regulation Headquarters should not have a departmental or ministerial perspective. All decisions from production, distribution to consumption should be within the framework of government strategies, including relative stability in the economy. Prices should also be predictable. Now, the price difference between goods in shops and stores has exceeded the limit, and the duties of the supervisory and inspection agencies should be clearly defined with a division of labor.
Aref emphasized: "To create stability in the market, we are not looking to create a security environment, but we want to do this calmly, but if the warnings are of no use, we must confront overpricing and hoarding with authority."
He also emphasized that there should be serious supervision of the market and said: "There should also be price stabilization for the prices of basic goods."
The latest situation of the prices of basic goods and ways to supply these goods on time and at a reasonable price were reviewed in this meeting. The formation of the Food Security Working Group and the Agricultural Goods Market Network was also reviewed, and after some amendments were made, the formation of this working group will be approved.
The proposed price of Jihad-e-Kashwarzi for one-day-old chicks, chickens and eggs was approved until the end of the year.
The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Justice, Security, Jihad-e-Kashwarzi, Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, the Governor of the Central Bank, the Executive Vice President, the Secretary of the Government Board, the Government Spokesperson, the Chairman of the Government Information Council and the managers of the relevant agencies.
