The Russian President said in a meeting with the self-proclaimed Syrian president that representatives of the Russian construction sector are ready to cooperate in the reconstruction of Damascus.
According to Ashura News, citing Sputnik News, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Syrian self-proclaimed President Abu Muhammad al-Julani in the Kremlin on Wednesday and held consultations.
The Russian President said in this regard that Moscow is pleased to host al-Julani and that during their meeting in the Kremlin, he emphasized the progress in bilateral relations and the new momentum in economic cooperation.
Vladimir Putin said: "Many achievements have been made in the development of Russian-Syrian relations so far. Economic cooperation has passed the "deadlock point" and has made significant progress that must be maintained. Bilateral relations are progressing due to the efforts of Damascus."
He then added: "Representatives of the Russian construction sector are ready to cooperate jointly in the reconstruction of Syria. We follow the efforts of the Syrian President to restore the territorial integrity of Syria. I congratulate you on the acceleration of the process of restoring the territorial integrity of Syria. Moscow has always supported the restoration of the territorial integrity of Syria and supports the efforts of al-Shara' (Abu Muhammad al-Julani) in this regard."
