According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who arrived in Bandar Abbas at the head of a high-ranking military delegation, accompanied by Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, to visit combat and operational units and also to assess the level of readiness of the armed forces in Hormozgan Province.
He said in the gathering of the commanders of the Army's Strategic Naval Forces in the First Marine Region of the Army Imamate: This trip to the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman aims to assess the operational situation of the region and also the level of readiness of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the Army's Strategic Naval Forces and the Revolutionary Guard Corps, in defending territorial waters and international waters and national resources of our country.
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: "The necessary field inspections to prepare for the implementation of various operational plans will take place during this trip, and our country's armed forces are fully prepared for any situation, and no threat will go unanswered."
