According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, the statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution at the meeting of the members of the National Congress of Martyrs of the Relief Workers, which was held two days ago, on Monday, May 12, 1404, were published this afternoon at the venue of the conference.

In this meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei considered the relief workers to be the embodiment of humane and philanthropic qualities, and, referring to the need to continue the spirit of selflessness and philanthropy of the Iranian nation, emphasized through cultural development: The opposite of this spirit is the crimes and brutalities of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the Western support for it, and that standing against this bloodthirstiness and false front is a universal duty.

Referring to the report of the Congress Headquarters regarding initiatives such as the production of books, films, and computer games related to the relief workers, He said: Merely producing these good and inspiring works is not enough, but you must ensure that these productions reach at least 20 million audiences.

The Leader of the Revolution attributed the entry of motivated and innovative youth into various sectors such as industry, politics, construction, literature, and art to the current progress, adding: With the presence of motivated and enthusiastic youth, nothing is impossible in the country.

Ayatollah Khamenei said: Rescuers under a hail of bullets were only thinking about saving others, not protecting themselves, and their amazing spirit of sacrifice was so great that sometimes they even helped wounded enemy prisoners, which is the opposite of a world alien to humanity.

He considered the selfless work of doctors and nurses in field hospitals near the front lines during the Sacred Defense era to be indescribable except through the language of art. He criticized the failure to introduce the great deeds of the children of the Iranian nation to the world, adding: While some countries lacking history and heroes introduce their fictional heroes with a lot of propaganda, we must introduce our real heroes and turn them into public culture so that it becomes clear that relief and assistance are an Islamic and human duty and must be continued continuously throughout all generations.

The Leader of the Revolution considered the opposite of the spirit of sacrifice and assistance to be the brutal behavior and behavior of the Zionist criminals in attacking ambulances, bombing hospitals, and killing defenseless patients and children, and said: Today, the world is run by these humanoid animals, and the Islamic Republic considers it its duty to stand against their barbarity and bloodthirstiness.

Emphasizing that protesting against crimes against civilians is a universal duty, Ayatollah Khamenei added: This sense of duty is what moves and keeps the light of hope burning in our hearts, and of course, it has forced enemies like the West to confront the Islamic Republic because if we stop protesting their barbarity, they will not be enemies with us.

He considered the main problem of the Western bullies to be the Islamic Republic’s rejection of their false civilization, and said: Falsehood is doomed to decline and destruction. Of course, to realize this, one must take action and stand firm, and avoid inaction, running away, smiling, and praising falsehood, which only furthers its progress.

The detailed text of the statements is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

And praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our master and prophet, Abu al-Qasim al-Mustafa Muhammad, and upon his family, the best, the purest, the best, the guides, the Mahdi, especially the rest of Allah on earth.

I thank you for this great work that you have undertaken; [namely] organizing the commemoration of the martyrs of the relief workers over the years, both in the sacred defense and after. It has been a very necessary and important work, and we hope that, God willing, it will have the desired effects.

These initiatives that Mr. Kolivand mentioned in this beautiful text that he read that these works have been done, must find an audience and listener. It is not enough for you to be innovative and make a good game or write a good book or produce a good film. These things that you said make a person excited and are very good; However, you have to do something that has an audience of twenty million in a country of eighty million; that is, really promote it; this is important. Find a way; you can. If our young people, in fields where there is now an infrastructure, can sit down and take the time to think about those that do not have an infrastructure, and look for solutions and innovations, they will certainly reach very good places; we have tried this in industry, in literature and art, in politics, and in construction activities in various sectors.

If young people enter the work with motivation and enthusiasm, show enthusiasm and pursue the work, there is nothing that is impossible. Even in those places where there is no infrastructure in the country, that infrastructure can be gradually created. None of the developments that you see today in various sectors have had a national infrastructure. We now have thousands of books about martyrs that are really worth reading, and each one that a person takes the time to look at and read is fascinating. It really is like this, whereas before the revolution, we did not have the field of artistic work and artistic activities, especially in the field of stories; very, very rarely and little, and that too at a low level. Today, the level of work is high; this infrastructure was created by our youth, our artists. Therefore, you can go ahead and do it, God willing.

Little has been said about the aid workers and their great virtues; now, God willing, after this, with the formation of this secretariat of yours and your work, there will be more. I will say a few sentences in this regard. The warrior needs training, weapons; but the one who gives him this training and gives him this weapon often does this service to the warrior outside the battlefield. The fighter needs aid, dressing, bandages, stopping bleeding, getting to the clinic and hospital; the person who does these things and supports the fighter is in the middle of the battle; this is an extremely important difference between these two types of support. The aid worker, under a shower of bullets and shrapnel, thinks about saving others. Our fighter has two tasks: one is to push back the enemy, the other is to protect himself; but our aid worker does not think about protecting himself, he thinks about protecting others and enters the field to protect others. What one sometimes sees in these corners of the fighters’ memoirs of the work that these aid workers did is truly amazing! That passage of these and [the work of] these, with those hardships, with those difficulties; this must be explained to the people so that they know and understand.

Another point is that our aid workers were the embodiment of human qualities and philanthropy. We have seen cases where aid workers even helped the enemy who was captured and wounded; this is a very big job. Well, if the enemy comes to kill you on the battlefield, the counterattack requires that you also want to kill him; but when you carry that aid bag or go behind the front line, you set up a field hospital there and provide aid there, in fact you are behaving and acting exactly the opposite of the situation that the world is alien to humanity, you are showing humanity. I myself saw that near the front line, I don't remember how many kilometers it was, but it was very close, doctors and nurses were working in the field hospital, they had set up a surgical operating room there, which was a surprise; The enemy's bullet and short-range mortar range reaches here, they set up a surgical operating room under enemy bullets! [This] is very important. There were doctors during the Sacred Defense period who had their bags ready, and as soon as an operation was to begin and they had to go, they were given a notification, they would call their homes and say, "We're leaving!" They would pick up their bags and set off; in other words, these are not really things that can be described in words; they cannot be preserved, explained, and expressed except through the tools of art.

Today, our nation needs to know about these great movements and these great deeds that have come from this nation itself, from the children of this nation; it needs this, because we are somewhat lacking in this field, and [therefore, many] do not know; and more than this, our lack is in reflecting these to the world. You see that in some countries they have a half-baked and mediocre hero, how they magnify him, write books about him, write stories; some do not have a hero, they make a hero; they do not have a history, they make history. We also have our hero, we also have our history, we also have our glorious past; we must convey this, we must reflect it. This is a great task and one of the inevitable tasks; this second task; to both recognize, introduce, and transform this into public culture; That is, it should be clear that relief and assistance is an Islamic and human duty and this should continue for generations, it should continue permanently. These works are the work of your groups. We hope, God willing, that this congress, this commemoration, will be a good prelude for these works to proceed and be done.

Then compare this with those wild animals in the form of humans who bomb ambulances, bomb hospitals, bomb and kill patients, and destroy innocent and defenseless children without hesitation! Today, the world is in their hands; today, the movement of the Islamic Republic and the resistance of the Islamic Republic and the “new civilization” that the Islamic Republic repeatedly mentions are to confront this state of the world. Who can claim and truly believe that in the face of these barbarities, these bloodthirstiness, humans do not have a duty? Who can say this? We all have a duty. Today, there are those who claim to be the masters of the world or who rule countries in the world whose behavior is this: they kill children, they kill patients, they destroy hospitals, they bomb civilians without hesitation. So [if] you have a war, let military fight military. Now, sometimes this is not fair, it is cruel; that is, the movement was a cruel movement, but after all, it is a war between military forces. Why do they kill civilians? Why do they beat them? Why do they destroy houses? Today, the world is in their hands.

This is the great duty that is on our shoulders. It is this sense of duty that drives us to move; it is this sense of duty that does not let the light of hope in our hearts go out, and it is this sense of duty that compels enemies like these Western savages, wearing ties and perfume, and looking good, to stand up and be hostile to the Islamic Republic. [The problem] is this; that is, if you do not object to these barbarities, if you put up with them, if you even admire them, they will have no enmity with you; the problem is that you reject the basis of this false civilization, and you are right, you must reject it.

And God willing, this falsehood will disappear; falsehood is not permanent, falsehood is going to disappear, without a doubt, but action must be taken. It is not that we sit and watch until falsehood melts away and disappears; no, God Almighty declares falsehood to disappear, meaning that if you stand against it, fight it, work against it, it is not permanent, it has no power to resist. And if those who disbelieved fought you, they would have turned to the enemy, then they would find no protector or helper; If you shield yourself, if you stand, he will undoubtedly turn his back; but if you sit down, or put on a cheerful face, or smile, or run away, or praise him for his deeds, no, he will not disappear, he will become more numerous day by day.

We hope that God Almighty, God willing, will grant you success, inform us of what is our duty, and grant us the ability to fulfill these duties.

And peace be upon you, and the mercy of God and His blessings.
