Palestinian sources announced that despite strict security measures and restrictions imposed by the Zionist military, tens of thousands of Palestinians prayed at Al-Aqsa Mosque today, Friday.
According to Ashura News, citing the Palestinian Information Center, despite tight security measures and restrictions imposed by the Zionist military, tens of thousands of Palestinians prayed at Al-Aqsa Mosque today.
According to the Islamic Endowments Authority of Jerusalem, 45,000 worshippers participated in this religious service, and an absentee prayer was also offered for the souls of the martyrs of Gaza and the West Bank.
Zionist soldiers, with their extensive deployment around Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, prevented a number of worshippers, especially young people, from entering by setting up iron barriers and checkpoints, and inspected their identity documents.
In today's sermon, Sheikh Muhammad Sarandeh, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasized the commitment of the Palestinian people to their mosque and said: This is our mosque and this is our Al-Aqsa. We will remain steadfast in it, even if others retreat and betray us.
In another part of his speech, he discussed the virtues of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and considered righteous deeds such as feeding the hungry, helping the needy, sheltering the displaced, and supporting the oppressed to be among the best acts of worship during these days, and said: "Caring for the affairs of Muslims is no less than reciting the Quran; rather, supporting the oppressed is an important priority during these days."
Criticizing the Arab and Islamic governments that are busy normalizing relations with the occupiers, he said: "Nations have intended to worship the House of God, but governments and policies compete with each other on the path to collapse. One oppressor is glorified, while another is invited to a feast, and in the meantime, the tongue of the holy ones complains to God.
Sarandeh emphasized: "None of those who betray the blood of Muslims will have their circumambulation or their efforts accepted." In the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, one should pay attention to the blessings of the two mosques and the security of the two qiblas.
He addressed the Islamic and Arab nations: “O nation! Hasn’t it been time for you to return to your first Qibla? Why have you forgotten the priorities of religion?”
Referring to the resistance of the people of Jerusalem and Palestine, he emphasized that Al-Aqsa Mosque is not a place for election propaganda and that what is imposed by force has no legitimacy. Al-Aqsa Mosque is only for Muslims to worship in, and no one has any other right.
In conclusion, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, saluting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially the resistant women, said: “Our women are the pride of history. Neither hunger, nor murder, nor displacement will defeat them.”
