The Friday prayer leader in Tehran emphasized to the community: You must be united and maintain unity and cohesion, and consider every voice of division as the voice of the enemy.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr correspondent, Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi, the Friday prayer preacher in Tehran, stated in his Friday prayer sermons today, July 17, 1404: "The first and last prescription for saving humanity is piety." In the Holy verse 120 of Surah Al-Imran, God has said that if you fly with two wings, you will always be at the top and nothing will be imposed on you by the enemies. Patience and piety are these two wings, and even if all the devils of the world and the pharaohs were to gather, they would not be able to harm the one who has the shield of patience and is established in the stronghold of piety.
He added: "The first sermon will be in the presence of the blessed Surah Hamad, to pay homage to the caravan of Karbala."
Ayatollah Seddiqi, the interim Imam of Tehran, in his Friday prayer sermons today, by reciting verses from Surah Hamd, pointed out the importance of guidance and correct role models in the path of life and said: O God, take my hand and guide me, and as you have guided me, keep me on the straight path. Those for whom the table of God's blessings has been spread are the role models for those who follow this path.
Emphasizing the need to follow divine leaders, he noted: Those who are leaders on the heavenly path and whose lives are based on the implementation of divine commands do not self-medicate and learn their lifestyle from those who are familiar with life. God Almighty says that those who obey God and the Messenger will be with four groups: prophets, the truthful, martyrs, and the righteous.
Ayatollah Seddiqi continued by pointing out the characteristics of martyrs and said: The light of the prophets is reflected in the truthful, and martyrs are the mirror of God. A martyr means a role model, a witness, and someone who has crossed the veils. When our body is stained with blood in the way of God, the status of annihilation is bestowed upon a person, and annihilation by God is the same as permanence by God.
He also said about the status of the righteous: The righteous have a high status, and the pure Imams are also from this group. The righteous are different from those who do righteous deeds; the righteous have reached their destination and attained the status of infallibility. The Holy Quran divides people into three groups: the companions of the right, the companions of the waxed one, and the former predecessors; those are the ones who are close.
The status of divine nearness awaits the former predecessors
Continuing his Friday prayer sermons today, the interim Imam of Tehran referred to the status of the former predecessors, saying: “Higher than the companions of the right are the former predecessors, and they possess the status of divine nearness.”
Recalling the approaching anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS), he referred to the book “The 250-Year-Old Man” by the Leader of the Revolution and added: “In this book, the Leader has connected the movements and role-players of all twelve infallibles in one path. All these great men worked on the path of establishing the divine government and saving the nation from the hardships of the era. The Karbala process is one of the coherent paths and intertwined links of this movement.”
Ayatollah Seddiqi continued: “On the day of Ashura, the mission of the Master of the Martyrs (AS) on the path to Mecca was completed, and the presence of none of the martyrs alongside the Master of the Martyrs was not accidental. Imam Hussein (AS) had a written strategy, and the elements of this movement and revolution, from the youngest of them, Hazrat Ali Asghar, to the oldest of them, Mr. Jaber, were each like verses of the Quran. Each of them was a verse that was the interpreter of another verse, and this collection acted as a saving chain.”
He considered the brutality and martyrdom of a three-month-old child as a reason to leave the guardianship and said: "This man will go to the bottom of hell and commit every mistake and crime. We must call Hazrat Ali Asghar Ayatollah; like Hazrat Christ (AS) from the moment of his birth, he came with awareness and a plan for guidance. We must kneel before him with faith; he is the documented and accepted Bab al-Hawa'iji and has been among the renowned leaders of the front of sacrifice for the revival of religion from the beginning."
Ayatollah Siddiqi considered martyrdom to be reaching the peak after the Ashura incident and described captivity as more difficult than that.
He continued: "Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) was subject to physical fluctuations and his blessed body had become so thin that it could not fit on a camel. His frail legs were tied with chains from under the camel so that he would not fall off. But Zaynab al-Kubra (SA) was the deputy of Imam Hussein (AS). The patience of these great men astonished heaven and earth. Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) had a jihad explanation and completed the work in Yazid's assembly, and from there on, resistance against the arrogant person resulted in victory in the guise of captivity. Yazid also declared his regret and cursed Ibn Ziyad.
He continued: The first mourning gatherings were held in Yazid's palace and provided peace for the captives, and Syrian women came, and the mission of the captives was at its peak.
The Friday prayer leader in Tehran stated: The Iranian nation has seen the heat in these 46 years and has not retreated and has not let the names of the martyrs be forgotten. Imam Sajjad also lifted the honor of the oppressor by crying for the oppressed. The gatherings of Imam Hussein and crying for the oppressed have flourished.
Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi, the interim Friday Imam of Tehran, after reciting Surah Al-Hamd in the second part of the Friday prayer sermons, called on religious brothers and sisters to be God-centered in all aspects of life. In this sermon, he referred to the 12-day war that was honorable and a center for creating high values, and said: “This war manifests the authority of religion, national unity and cohesion, and the greatness of the Imamate of the Guardianship of the Jurisprudence as a belief.”
Citing verses from the Holy Quran, he continued: “In the Battle of Uhud, God said that those who responded to the call of leadership were victorious. Leadership in Islam is the rule and law of the manifestation of God, and the response of God and the response of the Messenger are seen in the same line. The believers were victorious in the first step and the polytheists fled, but due to four issues, this situation was reversed and the opportunity turned into a threat. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) created a new opportunity from this fragile, bitter threat that became a lesson for us to learn from and achieve unforeseen victories.”
Ayatollah Seddiqi noted: “Hard conditions were imposed on our Prophet after this war. Those who had been isolated, when they saw that the Prophet was alive, gathered despite the defeat of the army. When the Prophet called out, the wounded pursued the enemy at his command and came to their aid with 5,000 angels at the command of God. The Prophet’s presence was a source of hope.”
The leadership gave people morale at the beginning of the war
Referring to the enemy’s attack and the martyrdom of our country’s experienced commanders, the interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran stated: “The enemies thought that by eliminating the head of the system, they would destroy power and cut off the system’s roots forever. In these circumstances, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (may Allah protect him) gave morale to the people in a televised message and appeared heroically as the representative of the honorable Prophet of Islam and the Imam of the Time.
He continued: Creating cohesion, instilling hope and confidence in victory, decisive prophecies and appointing new commanders demonstrate the wisdom and prudence of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution. It is as if these commanders were soaked in salt water so that the front would never be caught in a command vacuum. Our leader is the crown of pride of the great Iranian nation and even in the most difficult circumstances, they have a cheerful face.
Ayatollah Sediqi emphasized: The Imamate and the Ummah have shown their role and characteristics in these 12 days. An Indian celebrity told the Imam that I am fortunate to live in your time and if I had not seen you, the word courage would only be in books. The Japanese Prime Minister also has some analysis about our leader.
In his final address to the community, he emphasized: "You must be united and maintain unity and cohesion, and consider every voice of division as the voice of the enemy."
