Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized at the ceremony commemorating martyr Ali Karaki that the Zionist regime can never take weapons from Hezbollah and that as long as the resistance is alive, Israel will not achieve its goals.
According to Ashura News, quoted by Al-Mayadeen, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, delivered a speech at the commemoration ceremony of martyr Hajj Ali Abdel Moneim Karaki (Hajj Abul Fadl), one of the martyred commanders of Hezbollah.
Sheikh Naim Qassem said in this speech: The great jihadist leader Hajj "Ali Karaki" was among the honest people who stuck to his choice and chose the path of pure Muhammadan Islam.
He added: Martyr "Hajj Abul Fadl" has a right to our neck because he was one of the deputies of the Jihadist Council of the Secretary General of Hezbollah and is one of the prominent figures that people should know. Martyr "Abul Fadl" was born in May 1962. He was committed from a young age, loved the family of the Prophet (PBUH), had a university degree, and was considered one of the first generation and founders of the Islamic movement in Lebanon.
Sheikh Naim Qassem stated: Jihadi leader Martyr Ali Karaki planned the martyrdom operation of “Ahmad Qusayr” together with the martyr commander Hajj Imad Mughniyeh. This noble martyr also played a role in planning numerous jihadi operations until the liberation of southern Lebanon in 2000. He commanded the headquarters of Sayyid al-Shuhada from 2006 until his martyrdom. Martyr Karaki also participated in planning and supervising battles in Syria against the Takfiris.
The Hezbollah Secretary General continued: Sheikh Karaki never left southern Lebanon despite several assassination attempts. He never left the scene and was always at the forefront of the jihadi resistance. He was a member of Hezbollah’s Jihadi Council since 2008 and a jihadi assistant to the leader of the martyrs of the nation, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah.
He noted: The resistance in the battle of “Awl al-Bas” prevented the occupiers from reaching Beirut. The resistance has adhered to its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, but Israel has not, and the whole world is witnessing this. Hezbollah has fully implemented the ceasefire agreement south of the Litani River, and the Lebanese government has deployed the army wherever it can. We, the Lebanese government, Hezbollah, and all the resistance fighters, have implemented everything we were obligated to do under the agreement, and Israel has done nothing. The whole world acknowledges that Israel has violated the ceasefire 3,800 times.
Sheikh Qassem clarified: Now the US is proposing a new agreement, which means that all of Israel’s violations over the past eight months are as if they never happened. The only justification for this aggression is to disarm Hezbollah, because they want to reassure Israel by doing so. Why is Israel attacking Syria when there is no threat to it in Syria? They want to prevent any action that could resist Israel’s influence in the region and attack anything that could threaten this regime.
The Hezbollah Secretary General added: The US government is coordinating with Israel on the issue of war and is trying to expand its influence in the region. Under the pretext of Israel’s security, they want to inspect, occupy and attack every corner. Why did Israel bomb Iran under the pretext of its nuclear program? Even though all inspectors have confirmed that it is peaceful. Israel still wants to destroy Iran, but Tehran has succeeded. Israel is expansionist and a real danger.
He continued: The US envoy said that Lebanon is in danger of “extinction” and is threatening to annex Lebanon to another country and is inciting the Lebanese government and army to sedition. We, as the Amal Movement and Hezbollah, feel that we are facing an existential threat to the resistance, its platform, Lebanon and all its sects. My advice to the opposition is not to bet on the Shiite-Shiite conflict, because Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have a real strategic partnership. Inciting sedition and annexing Lebanon to regional powers is dangerous.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, stating that the enemy dreams of a “Greater Israel” in the shadow of the division of the region, said: Lebanon faces three real dangers: “Israel”, ISIS elements on the eastern borders and American tyranny. The main issue is not disarmament (of the resistance), but rather this is a step towards Israeli expansion, and the weapons of resistance are the obstacles that have made Lebanon stand on its own feet and prevent Israeli expansionism.
He emphasized in the final part of his speech: Whoever is stubborn and accepts humiliation, it is up to himself. We do not accept humiliation. We have made great sacrifices and our strength has helped us achieve this. Israel can never take away our weapons. If Israel attacks us, we are ready to defend ourselves. As long as we are alive, Israel will not achieve its goals.
