According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, President Masoud Pezzekian said in a session to review the government's one-year performance in implementing the Seventh Progress Plan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly: "The situation we found ourselves in is such that last year, before we took over the government, we witnessed the demands of nurses, retirees, teachers, and wheat farmers, but now we have been able to overcome many of these problems."

He added: "We are the cause of inflation. In fact, it is the parliament and the government that create inflation."

Pezzekian stated: "Because we write the budget with a deficit, we create expectations. There is no money and the result will be the same high prices that our dear brother was saying from the podium now.

Addressing the representatives, he noted: "Help us write a budget without a deficit. A budget with this deficit means development with a proportionate proportion. The government must grow with this development. Any program you want to write will have a deficit." Any increase in the deficit will cause inflation and this inflation will fall on the shoulders of the people; we have the duty to serve these people of the country and this is the essence of the matter.

Pezizian stated: You should start the government. I don't want to shrink another place, but if we touch any place, help, merge it, make it smaller so that we can spend based on our resources. We don't have resources and we are developing. In all areas of development, we have now coordinated in many areas where we should have worked, in social, economic, political and security issues, with the coordination we had with the parliament.

Pezizian continued: Certainly, if we were not coordinated with each other, we would not be where we are now. Despite all these problems that exist, the people have accompanied us and we must answer to the people. I consider myself obligated to be a servant of the people. We did not come to the government to act in a factional, political or group manner. In the presidential institution, we tried not to develop anyone in addition to what is there.

He continued: In many issues, including water, electricity, gas, buildings and rooms, we have dried our lawns because we do not have water. We are saving what we can. If ten percent savings are made, we can save 900 thousand barrels of oil and gas per day. This amount does not solve our problems that we are currently spending in this way. You all know the situation of water, power and education; this year, in less than a year, 11,000 education classes have been built and universities have been established, without us having any credit because people participated and helped.

Pezizian stated that last week in Sanandaj, Kurdistan, a woman reported that her child had died in an accident and that she had been given one and a half billion diya, but she brought the entire diya to build a school, and said: The same measures were also taken in Ilam, South and North Khorasan. People are really active in participating and creating selfless service and we are ashamed of them.

He continued: In this government, more than 1,800 megawatts of solar panels have been installed and connected so far, and more than 700 megawatts of old ones have been merged with it. By the end of this year, more than 78,000 megawatts will be connected, and we will solve the problem of solar energy in the next five years. Contracts for more than 79,000 megawatts of solar and wind panels have been signed.

He stated: Last year, our producers suffered losses of 320 trillion tomans due to gas and electricity outages. We are trying to compensate for these losses. For production, trade, and exports, we hold separate meetings with entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Petrochemical Group every month. Also, every week after the government meeting, we control gas-burning flares, which cost nearly 7 billion dollars a year. So far, more than 10 million cubic meters have been controlled so that the environment is not damaged and cities are not polluted. We will resolve any legal obstacles in cooperation with the heads of government.

Pezizkian added: Universities have been involved in water issues. Yesterday, a meeting was held with the presence of the governors of four provinces and university professors, who agreed to resolve the problems based on scientific solutions. Universities and private experts are also involved. In foreign and domestic relations, we have tried to minimize disputes. So far, we have not accused anyone behind the podium and we consider the government, parliament, and the government to be the ones most at fault, and we accept all our own faults. This year's budget must be designed efficiently and unnecessary items that are not productive should be eliminated.

He continued: We have prioritized the food supply and livelihood issues of the people, and we hold regular meetings every week to solve the livelihood problem. The government cannot allow people to go hungry. This year's budget must be designed in such a way that the livelihood of the people of the country is prioritized. Whatever is surplus should be collected and placed on the food supply cards. With empathy and cooperation, we can implement this program.

Pezizkian said: We want to serve our people and I do not accept that our Iran remains weak and that we fall behind. If we join hands, maintain our unity and cohesion, and show that we are servants of the people, no power can bring us to our knees. This is what the people demand of us and you.

He added: It is our fault and our managers that we cannot serve the people properly. If a governor, governorate or district office behaves inappropriately, we should know that such a person has no right to remain in the position he is in. The indicator of our good or badness is the satisfaction of the dear people. Correcting these matters will not happen all at once; making a decision today is not enough and everything will not be fixed tomorrow. Of course, our intention is to plan and follow up, and giving an opportunity to change behavior takes time.

The President emphasized: Rest assured, I make mistakes and I do not claim to be perfect., but let us help correct our own and others' mistakes and instead of accusing each other, let us extend a helping hand to those who can solve problems, and we will do this regardless of faction, gender, party or belief.

He stated: We ask Mr. Qalibaf and his group to help our governors make better decisions. The indicator of all these decisions is the law, the program and general policies of the Supreme Leader. They are given the authority to implement the program, not to do whatever they want. At the same time, the spread of additional costs must be prevented and spending must be based on available resources. Saving 10 percent can solve many expectations. To produce 250,000 barrels of oil, we have coordinated with banks, the central bank, and various organizations to gasify oil wells and increase production.

Referring to the 16th sermon of Imam Ali (AS), the President stated: The main problem is ourselves, and I will never absolve myself. Imam Ali (AS) says in the 16th sermon that if a society is in trouble, it must be corrected, and disputes and fights must be put aside. If each of us examines our position and corrects our shortcomings, we will be able to solve the problems of society.

He said: The pillar of this tent is the Supreme Leader. We can have differences of opinion, but there is someone who manages the differences and provides guidance. We must stand behind them and appreciate this. Being a role model is not just about claims, but it must also be reflected in our behavior and not be a role model with bad morals, slander, and destruction. It is not right to blame everyone else; our duty is to solve our own problems. In trade and foreign affairs, the president holds meetings with businessmen, entrepreneurs, and petrochemical companies every week to resolve problems. The judiciary also holds the necessary meetings with full preparation to secure the trade, legal, judicial, and investment process.

Pezizian stated: There is a trade process regarding legal, judicial, and investment issues, and our dear brother, Dr. Ghalibaf, is always with us and follows up to resolve problems. This understanding and agreement should be applied throughout the country, and not for anyone to say, "It's mine or someone else's." Every person in this country who can solve my problem is his own problem, and we should allow it to be done. I believe that everyone who is capable should take responsibility.

He added: "Our only hope against enemies, including Israel, America, and European countries, is that social tension does not arise in the country and that we first prove to the people that we are their servants. If we honestly explain the problems to the people, the people will help us just as they have supported us in building schools or other issues. The situation is also difficult in the matter of water; this year's rainfall is only three percent compared to previous periods, and there is less water behind dams and wells. We must use these resources appropriately and, instead of condemning each other, be prudent and economical."

Pezizian continued: "Anyone who claims to be capable should be given full authority to reform and manage resources. We must plan development in harmony and respect for nature and prevent additional costs. I accept responsibility for the problems and start with myself. On the other hand, we try to adhere to the law and implement the programs." You know better than anyone what costs the war and sanctions have imposed on the country and have limited foreign investments. We must attract investors, solve their problems, and reform economic prosperity and trade, and improve regulations in their favor.

He stated: The inflation that has arisen is the responsibility of the government and banks, and it must be stopped. This year's budget should be designed in a way that does not create unrealistic expectations; although there may be a budget deficit, additional government expenses should be reduced as much as possible. Reducing expenses will lead to a decrease in inflation and a decrease in the tax burden on the people. Our priority is the livelihood of the people, and trade and foreign relations, public participation, and attracting charitable foundations and associations are also on the agenda. Universities are cooperating with us to increase development and participation.

Pezizian added: All these measures are being taken within the framework of the policies and vision of the Supreme Leader. If we join hands, we will build a prosperous and proud Iran that belongs to all Iranians, not one group, faction, or faction. All compatriots can participate in the growth and development of the country, and our duty is to allow them to cooperate with us.
