According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Hojjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari congratulated the entire Islamic nation on the arrival of Eid al-Adha, the great day of monotheism and servitude.
The text of the message of Hojjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the Assembly, is as follows:
Praise be to Allah, Who gave me Ismail and Isaac in my old age. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.
Praise be to Allah, Who gave me Ismail and Isaac in my old age. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication. Ibrahim, verse 39
On the eve of Eid al-Adha, I congratulate the entire Islamic nation on this great day of monotheism and servitude.
Eid al-Adha is the manifestation of the most glorious level of submission and servitude to the Almighty God and the most glorious level of renunciation of the desires of the soul and the aspiration to the eternal sea of the Supreme Kingdom.
On the path of knowledge and recognition and reaching the God, man needs to overcome all desires, and in this regard, what higher and more instructive example can there be than the test that Prophet Abraham and Ismail passed before Him and in the presence and threshold of God and sacrificed their lives on the altar of divine satisfaction.
Today, more than ever, the Islamic community needs empathy and the realization of the unity of the Islamic Ummah to confront the evil ones and neutralize the divisive conspiracies of the enemies, and blessed days such as Eid al-Adha can provide the best opportunity to strengthen the "unity of the Islamic Ummah" in the face of common challenges, with the message of unity and integrity.
I congratulate the monotheists of the world, especially the one nation of the great Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him and his family), on the arrival of this blessed Eid, which is the Eid of obedience, servitude, and self-sacrifice. I ask God Almighty for more unity, agreement, and brotherhood among Muslims in all parts of the world. It is hoped that this blessed day will be a source of goodness and blessing for the entire Muslim community and will pave the way for the closeness of hearts and unity of speech of all Muslims in the world.
