According to Ashura News, quoted by Al-Manar, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, said in a speech at the commemoration ceremony of Allama Sayyid Abbas Ali Al-Moussawi: Sayyid Abbas Al-Moussawi was a member of the Sharia Board of the Supreme Islamic Council of Shiites and a member of the Muslim Scholars Association. Sayyid Abbas Ali Al-Moussawi was a factor of unity in Lebanon and the region and a supporter of the resistance.
He added: The Islamic world's concern for the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is important.
Sheikh Naeem Qassem stated about Imam Musa Al-Sadr that Imam Musa Al-Sadr brought about a radical change in Lebanon and is the Imam of the resistance, and added: Imam Sadr was very concerned about national unity in a land that belongs to all of us. He said that the south has risen on behalf of all of Lebanon and the Arabs. We pledge with Imam Musa Al-Sadr that we are under the banner of the resistance.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon also stated: The Battle of Fajr Al-Juroud is a battle that the Lebanese army fought against the Islamic resistance and brought great achievement. This battle was fought with the decision of the brave President Michel Aoun, despite American pressure. The coordination in the Battle of Fajr al-Jroud was between the resistance and the army under the command of Joseph Aoun.
Regarding the attacks on Yemen, Sheikh Naim Qassem said: Israel bombed Yemen and, as usual, targeted civilian targets. Israel is the leader of the criminals. Dear Yemen provided exceptional support to the residents of Gaza.
Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized: Lebanon must regain its sovereignty over its land, and all the problems we suffer from are caused by the Israeli enemy, the occupation, and its American backer. The government is responsible for developing a plan to achieve sovereignty. Without sovereignty, there is no stability. I call on the government to hold intensive discussion sessions on how to restore sovereignty through diplomacy, arming the army, defense strategy, and everything that helps. I call on the parties and elites to help the government.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah added: We call on the Lebanese government to restore national sovereignty and act under this slogan for at least a week. I wanted to raise this slogan so that the result of this slogan would be spontaneous. Resistance is for defense and liberation. Resistance is a nation and a family. Resistance is faith, will, patriotism and honor. Resistance is pride and stability.
He added: Resistance is the opposite of humiliation and acceptance of foreign pressures. This is the destiny of the national army and it is not a replacement for the army, but rather supports it. The army must be armed and the resistance is an effective factor in this. The resistance was formed to confront the enemy. The resistance defeats the enemy and hinders his goals, but it does not stop him from aggression, but confronts him. The resistance created deterrence against Israel for 17 years, and this is an exceptional achievement.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon emphasized: We were able to create deterrence against the Israeli enemy with the equation of the army, the nation, and the resistance, and before that, there was a form of deterrence against Israel. If the resistance does not continue and surrenders to "Israel," what alternative is there? The resistance is a solid barrier to prevent Israel from achieving its goals, and Israel cannot stay in Lebanon and realize its expansionist project through Lebanon.
He added: The Lebanese government's decision was made under Israeli and American dictates. We have the ability to confront Israel and this will continue.
Referring to American interventionism in Lebanon, Naim Qassem said: America continues to impose sanctions on Lebanon and hinders reconstruction. America is stirring up sedition in Lebanon and is not trustworthy, but rather a danger to Lebanon. America is preventing the country's supporting weapons.
He continued: Are you seeking to disarm a weapon that has been liberating? We will not give up the weapon that protects us from the enemy. We will not allow Israel to be left alone and roam in our country. The weapon is our soul, honor, land and dignity.
Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed: We have many supporters, more than half of the Lebanese people support us, and they are all united to protect the weapons and protect Lebanon and its dignity. Whoever seeks a vacuum of weapons seeks to take our souls and lives, and then the world will see our reaction. Whoever wants to disarm us wants to disarm our souls, and then the world will see our strength. Not step by step and not all this path that requires concessions.
