A Palestinian center has confirmed that more than 8,000 people are missing under the rubble of Gaza and called on the international community to help pull out the victims.
According to Ashura News, citing ISNA, the Palestinian Center for Missing and Enforced Disappearances stressed the need for urgent action given the inability of local institutions to deal with the massive destruction caused by the continuous airstrikes of the Zionist regime that have been ongoing for two years.
The center called on the international community to send technical teams and specialized equipment to the area to retrieve the bodies of the victims in Gaza and identify them.
The center estimates that there are 8,000 to 9,000 missing people who are likely to be under the rubble or in areas where Israeli military forces have gathered.
The center called for international intervention under the supervision of the United Nations and the Red Cross and Crescent to provide heavy equipment, forensic experts, and DNA identification technologies so that families can bury their children with dignity and in accordance with humanitarian principles and international agreements.
The Palestinian center, emphasizing that the continued Israeli bombing is hindering efforts to recover the bodies, called for guarantees to immediately stop the airstrikes and provide safe passage for relief and rescue teams.
The center considered the silence of the international community to be an abandonment of human values, stating that this silence has left Palestinian families alone in the face of an endless disaster.
