The lie of using non-Iranian forces to counter internal unrest is pursued with several goals in Iran.
According to Ashura News, citing Tasnim, one of the constant and frequent allegations that anti-Iranian media outlets raise during the unrest and riots in Iran is the claim that the Islamic Republic is using foreign forces to suppress the people; a claim that is usually raised by mentioning names such as the Popular Mobilization Forces, Lebanese Hezbollah, Fatemiyoun, Zeinabiyoun, etc.
You have surely heard these false statements many times from anti-revolutionary individuals and media outlets; a narrative that is not new, of course, and was first widely raised during the sedition of 2009.
During the sedition of that year, satellite networks and cyberspace activists suddenly announced that the Islamic Republic had brought forces from Lebanese Hezbollah to Iran to suppress the protests.
The counter-revolutionary media widely disseminated this claim, which was published by people such as Amir Farshad Ebrahimi (a fugitive and notorious counter-revolutionary element), and to prove their claim, they published a picture of several Basij youths during the confrontation with the riots in the Qaytariyeh area of Tehran, claiming that one of them was the brother of martyr Ali Munif Ashmar (a famous martyr of the Lebanese Hezbollah who was martyred in 1996).

The image of Martyr Mehdi Norouzi during the 1988 sedition, published as one of the Hezbollah commanders
This claim was denied at the same time, but it took 5 years to prove it.
In January 2014, during the confrontation with Takfiri terrorists in Samarra and around the shrine of Imams Askari (AS), the identity of an individual who was said to have come to Iran from Lebanon to suppress it was revealed.
Martyr "Mehdi Norouzi" from Kermanshah was a person whose image had been published by the counter-revolutionary media for a long time as a Lebanese involved in the Iranian unrest, and now, after his martyrdom, it was possible to reveal his true identity.
16 years have passed since the sedition of 2009, and during these years, the country has been involved in crisis, unrest, and unrest several times, including in 2019, 2020, 2021, and January 1404. Without exception, in all of these unrests - which led to the deaths of a large number of compatriots - this lie - that is, the use of non-Iranians for suppression - has been one of the most important suspicions and lies of the counter-revolutionary media, with the difference that if in the past they only knew Hezbollah, now they have also heard the names of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Fatemiyoun, and the Zainabi. For example, look at this image, which is a screenshot of one of the widespread computer game advertisements these days;
An examination of the media pattern of this suspicion shows that the main purpose of its creation is not information, but psychological operations, and the counter-revolution is pursuing several goals in creating this claim:2- Incitement of nationalist sentiments: Mentioning the names of non-Iranian forces and their presence in the process of confronting internal unrest could be an attempt to provoke national sensitivities and create a rift between the people and the country's security structures. The irony of the matter is that this claim is made by those who spend their days and nights begging foreigners (America and Israel) to attack Iran and have been everywhere criticizing Trump and Netanyahu for hastening this attack.
3- Purification of the violence of the rioters: When the force confronting the unrest is introduced as "foreign", the violence against it is also made to appear justifiable or even legitimate in the media narrative.
The recent unrest has been one of the most unprecedented and brutal crises in recent years in terms of violence and the use of weapons (both cold and hot), the high volume of destruction of public and private places, the killing of innocent people, the beheading and burning of people - especially security forces - so to justify this volume of crime, it is necessary to say that the Islamic Republic has used foreigners for repression.
4 - Laying the groundwork for foreign pressure: The disgrace of begging a foreigner to launch a military attack on the homeland was one of the greatest scandals of the recent sedition. The nauseating and momentary pleas for a military attack on Iran are so dirty that some individuals and movements opposed to the regime are trying to keep their laps clean of it, but the counter-revolutionary movements, from the MKO to the separatists and monarchists (especially Reza Pahlavi himself and their affiliated media such as the International, Manto, BBC, etc.), see their survival in convincing Trump and Netanyahu to attack Iran and create a full-scale military war that will naturally lead to the killing of thousands of people inside and the destruction of much of the country's infrastructure.

1- Delegating legitimacy from the system: One of the main goals of creating such a lie is to question the social base and internal legitimacy of the system and to instill the proposition that the Islamic Republic has been forced to use "foreign forces" to protect itself, and this means that the military and security forces (from the Basij to the IRGC and the police) are no longer willing to deal with the rioters to protect the government.
Of course, the suspicion of the decline of military and security forces has also been one of those constant suspicions during the unrest of recent years; a claim that BBC Persian expert Hossein Bastani has also explicitly pointed out as false and fabricated over the years.Murad Veysi, an expert at the Israel International Network and one of the main promoters and purveyors of a foreign attack on Iran, puts forward the same lie of using non-Iranian forces without any evidence.
5- Destroying Iran's ideals and allies in the region: In 2009, the false claim of using Hezbollah forces in the internal unrest in Iran ended with the slogan "No Gaza, no Lebanon," and the slogan itself showed what the purpose of promoting such a lie was.
Now, after several years, when the axis of resistance has formed in the region and has dealt the most blows to Israel, the United States, and their allies, they must again use the same method, this time by bringing up other names in addition to Hezbollah, to destroy this axis in the minds of Iranians.
