Army’s joint military exercise kicks off in Makran Coast

The joint military exercise of Iran's Army dubbed “Zolfaghar 1400” kicked off on Sunday with the presence of infantry, armored and mechanized units of the Army Ground Forces, Air Defense Forces defense systems, and naval surface vessels with the support of Army Air Force fighters and UAVs in the general area of Makran Coast.


According to Ashura News, quoted by ISNA news agency, “Monitoring of the country's airspace and the general training area in the southern part of the country by the Air Defense Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as combating hostile targets are among the targets of the Zolfaghar 1400 joint exercise,” the spokesperson of the exercise Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi said.

He added that the Army's pilots and drones will carry out air patrol during the exercise.

Pointing out that the message of Zolfaqar-1400 excercise is establishment of friendship via relying on capacities inside the region, the spokesman said, “Security will be brought about to the West Asia region through unity among regional countries and relying on their capabilities”.
