The shrine of Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon her) was dusted in a strange manner, behind closed doors and without the presence of pilgrims.
According to Ashura News, citing Mehr News Agency, on the eve of the month of Safar, the servants of the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon her) in Damascus began dusting and cleaning the shrine. One of the servants of the shrine of Abu Zainab said that "the ceremony was held in complete silence and behind closed doors due to security and political restrictions." This is while the tradition of dusting the shrine was usually accompanied by the presence of pilgrims and a spiritual atmosphere.
Accordingly, this year, the servants of the shrine of Aunt Sadat will welcome the month of Safar without holding a mourning ceremony for Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The servants of the shrine say that "as long as we have breath, even if we are alone and there is no mourning, we will prepare Zainab for Muharram and Safar."
