According to Ashura News, quoted by Mehr News Agency, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami said in this week's Friday prayer sermons at Tehran University: "We should always keep God's privacy, no matter what anyone sees or doesn't see." On the other hand, we should always remember God, as this issue is mentioned five times in Surah Maryam. It is also mentioned eight times in Surah Sad.
He added: "What God has outlined in the Quran are the virtues and values of prophets and great men, such as Prophet Abraham (PBUH) or Prophet Maryam (PBUH).
The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran stated: "The adjective Siddiq, which is mentioned in the Quran, does not only mean telling the truth, but in addition to telling the truth, it also means that one's actions are in harmony with one's words, because there are those who say in slogans that they are Muslims but in practice they are not."
Referring to the approaching 14th of Khordad, the Friday prayer leader of Tehran stated: "36 years have passed since the passing of the late Imam, and I met the Imam in 1972 when I was 12 years old." Since I met the Imam until today, my love for this great man has increased day by day in my heart.
Ayatollah Khatami stated: In this upcoming decade, we have five occasions that I will briefly discuss. The first decade of Dhul-Hijjah is the decade of remembrance of God, which smells like the blessed month of Ramadan, so we should always remember God, especially in this month and decade.
He continued: In this decade, we have the Day of Arafah, which is called the day of prayer, and we get everything we have from these prayers. It is in our narrations that these prayers are weapons and these prayers were the weapons of the prophets, so let us not underestimate them and ask God for everything in the small and big things of life.
The interim Friday Imam of Tehran stated: On the Day of Arafah, God opened all the doors of mercy and imprisoned Satan. It is narrated that if God did not forgive someone in the month of Ramadan, he should only have hope on the Day of Arafah.
Ayatollah Khatami said: The third occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Baqir (AS) is on Tuesday, and we are indebted to Imam Baqir and Imam Sadiq. In fact, the cultural independence of religion is indebted to Imam Baqir and Imam Sadiq. Also, the fourth occasion is the rituals of Hajj, which begin on the day of Arafat and pilgrims set off for Hajj. I say to the pilgrims that they should be careful and watchful of the correctness of their actions, because Hajj is granted to a person once in a lifetime, and this time, along with the clergy of the caravan, God willing, they should pay attention to the correctness of their actions.
Ayatollah Khatami stated: The fifth occasion is also on Thursday, when the first martyr of the Imam Hussein (AS) movement was Muslim bin Aqeel. He was called a brother by the Master of Martyrs.
He continued: Next week, we will mark the 36th anniversary of the Imam's passing and the 36th year of the leadership of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Also, Thursday is the 15th of Khordad uprising.
The Friday prayer leader in Tehran continued by asking what was the basis of the uprising of the Imam and the 36-year-old leader of the Supreme Leader, and stated: What was the basis of the uprising of Khordad 15? I have considered and explained seven points.
He said: First, this movement was a God-centered movement. This revolution began and took shape in the love of God from mosques and Hussainiyahs, and it was clearly about Islam. For the Imam, it was about what God wants and what is the duty.
Ayatollah Khatami stated: Of course, duty must be done with prudence. For a person to act rashly and say something and do something without prudence is not called duty, so every action must be thought through and the duty must be calculated.
Continuing his response to the philosophy of Imam Khomeini (RA), he clarified: The third issue was establishing and maintaining the system, which was to establish an Islamic system and use the country's capital for the advancement of the country. Therefore, after the [Islamic] system was established, the Imam said that maintaining the system is one of the obligations, and the Supreme Leader also said that it is one of the obligations, and we must defend and protect this Islamic system with all our being. Just as you people have done and will do by the grace of God.
The interim Friday prayer imam of Tehran continued: The fourth basis of the Imam is the emphasis on unity. He forbade division 120 times during his 10-year imamate, and before that, he recited 20 times, "And hold fast to the rope of Allah, all of you, and do not be divided."
He added: "Differences of taste are part of the nature of free life, but we must try not to let these differences of taste lead to division." God's hand is with the community, and today the Supreme Leader's greatest recommendation is to maintain unity, and this recommendation is from the Quran, Nahjul-Balagha, and the Imams.
Ayatollah Khatami continued: The fifth point at the basis of the Imam's uprising is national self-confidence. The tyrants had put forward the belief that we cannot, but thank God, the revolution took place, and the Imam made this self-confidence his, and thanks to God and this self-confidence, he performed miracles.
Referring to our country's nuclear achievements, he said: You saw what disaster they brought upon us in the field of nuclear energy, while the enemies said that you should not have even a centrifuge, but by God's grace we entered enrichment, and nuclear energy was enriched to 20 percent.
He stated: The concern of Trump and his ilk is not the atomic bomb because they know that we do not have an atomic bomb; of course, not out of fear of them, but it is the word of God that has said that you should not have an atomic bomb. The Prophet said that you should not have a weapon of mass destruction that burns both wet and dry, which is an authentic narration, but for the issue of medicine, electricity production and nuclear energy are necessary, and it must be said that the future energy of the world is nuclear energy, so the enemies are concerned about this technology, and due to their blindness, this technology has become indigenous.
He continued: "Thank God, our nation has enriched and it has been to the extent of its needs and will enrich and the enemies cannot do anything wrong."
Referring to the issue of zero percent enrichment raised by the enemies, the interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran emphasized: "They said we cannot have even one percent enrichment, which is a lot of mistakes, and our nation did not listen to your many words and we have enriched and will continue to do so; although of course we do not have an atomic bomb."
Referring to the creation of human circles by students in protecting the country's nuclear achievements, he stated: "These days I saw that students formed human circles. This movement was a sacred movement."
Continuing to explain the basis of the uprising of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, the Friday prayer leader of Tehran stated: "Comradeship with the people was one of the characteristics of the late Imam. The Imam believed in the people and believed that it was possible to overthrow the Shah with these people and did so."
He continued: During the struggle against the tyrant, which lasted for about 15 years, the Imam did not speak of armed struggle once and all his hope was in the people. God's victory is alongside the victory of the people. We also witnessed that for the first time in 1379, the Supreme Leader named the system a religious democracy system, which was very beautiful.
The Friday prayer leader in Tehran stated: Last week, the country's governors met with the Supreme Leader, and he said important things in that meeting, including going among the people and listening to their words patiently, even if they are harsh.
In explaining the seventh axis of Imam Khomeini's (RA) philosophy of the uprising, Ayatollah Khatami said: The seventh issue was hatred of arrogance, which has a Quranic basis. The symbol of arrogance in the Quran is Pharaoh, and Pharaoh is not an individual, but a movement.
In another part of his speech, he referred to the resistance of the Yemenis and said: I must bring up this story of the Yemenis and say, "Well done to these people of zeal." They said we support the people of Gaza, we defeated America and Israel. As the Prophet praises them in a hadith. When they asked them who were the best, the Prophet (PBUH) pointed to the Yemenis in response and said [the Yemenis] are the best.
Referring to the people of Gaza, Ayatollah Khatami stated: The heartbreaking grief of Gaza is the last point I will talk about, because it is difficult to see these scenes and the killing of the helpless apart, and it seems that the people of Gaza have their share of the crimes of the criminals every day.
The Friday prayer leader in Tehran continued: Recently, Trump has spoken about the issue of the displacement of the people of Gaza, and Netanyahu is also repeating this nonsense, but what is the fact is that Gaza is the homeland of the people of Gaza, and those who should leave are you [the Zionist occupiers], usurpers, and you will go by the grace of God.
