According to Ashura News, quoted by Tasnim News Agency, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, the interim Imam of Tehran, in his sermons for the religious-political Friday prayers this week held at the Imam Khomeini (RA) prayer hall, referring to verses from the Holy Quran that refer to servitude and servitude to God, said: Sometimes worship has a specific meaning, namely prayer, fasting, and pilgrimage. On the other hand, worship also has a general meaning, "We do not worship and we do not seek help." This means being a servant of God in all areas of life, and whenever God commands, the servant must submit completely to it and perform the ritual of servitude. He continued: "If a person has seven characteristics, he is a servant; he should not go towards sin, whether it is an individual sin such as not performing prayers, or a social sin such as harming others and hurting people, or even an economic sin such as overcharging." Sometimes the system decides to create a price hike, meaning the officials decide, but if someone decides to sell for themselves, this is an economic sin. Sometimes it is a cultural sin, such as not wearing a hijab, which is a violation of God's privacy. Failure to live a chaste life is both an insult to the religious, an insult to religion, and an insult to the law.

Khatami, citing the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, emphasized: not wearing a hijab is against Islamic law and the constitution, and the head of the judiciary has emphasized that these violations can be stopped with these existing resolutions and laws. Of course, some individuals should be advised and some should be preached to, but some are gangs and groups and the law should be applied against them.

Considering the problems caused by drought and the lack of rainfall, he recited a prayer for rain and said: The prayer for rain is the anchor of our existence, and we ask God Almighty with all our hearts to send down His rain of mercy on us.

He continued by celebrating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Sadiqah Tahirah Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) on Thursday, 20th of Jamadi Al-Thani.

Referring to the statements of the late Imam and the Supreme Leader about the status of women, Khatami continued by saying: Iran has never had such a large number of knowledgeable and knowledgeable women as it does today. Islam’s view of women gives them independence, ability, identity, and the possibility of progress, but the Western view is one of subordination and absorption of women’s identity into men, and lacks respect for women’s honor and dignity.

He also said about the role of the Basij: The story of the Basij is the story of a culture, a culture of sacrifice for religion, a valuable national movement that must continue for successive generations. Being a Basij is an honor and encompasses all ethnicities, trades, and strata.

Regarding the 12-Day War, Khatami recalled the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his televised message to the Iranian nation: The Iranian nation undoubtedly defeated both America and the Zionist regime in this war. They came but were beaten and returned empty-handed and did not achieve any of their goals.

Some people spread rumors that the Iranian government sent a message to America through a certain country; this is a complete lie and does not exist. An American that betrays even its friends is not a government that the Islamic Republic wants to cooperate with.

He stated: We tell those who are thirsty for negotiations that we will not negotiate until America becomes a man. The arrogant and delusional Trump wants to tell the world; "We have brought Iran to the negotiating table.", but we tell him that your predecessors, from "Carter" onwards, buried this wish and you will definitely also bury this wish. The slogan of this revolutionary nation has always been "We will fight, we will die, we will not accept humiliation."

In the end, he mentioned various occasions; The martyrdom day of Hazrat Umm al-Bayni (PBUH), Student's Day and the commemoration of Martyr Modarres and Martyr Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali. Addressing the students, he said: Dear students, be careful, the enemies are trying to seize the student movement for their own benefit, but with the blessings of many pious and committed professors and insightful students, they will not achieve their dream.
